TL;DR: In this paper, a stator-to-rotor gap is formed by cylindrical annular gaps between the inner cylinrical surfaces of the end-shield shoulders of an electrical machine.
Abstract: FIELD: electromechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed electrical machine has frame with end shields accommodating bearing units, stator magnetic core whose slots accommodate winding, and sleeve disposed in stator-to-rotor gap and tightly secured in end shields. Main parts of electrical machine form as a whole an annular space with end boxes at end shields and stator core-and-winding assembly in center. This space is filled with cooling liquid which is pumped through this space and cooled down in external heat exchanger. Sleeve is made in the form of thin-walled permanent-thickness cylindrical shell whose outer diameter equals inner diameter of stator core with respect to bore; inner diameter of shell is greater than rotor outer diameter by air gap value. Sleeve is secured within end shields by disposing its ends in cylindrical annular gaps between inner cylindrical surfaces of end-shield shoulders. ^ EFFECT: enhanced service life of electrical machine. ^ 6 cl, 9 dwg

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an air-conditioning air outlet device, which comprises a shell and wind shields, for regulating an air outlet range and position of an airconditioning by change of the amount of the positions of users.
Abstract: The utility model provides an air-conditioning air outlet device, which comprises a shell and wind shields. The shell is of a cylindrical shape and is provided with air outlets. The air outlets are of a strip shape and are arrayed in the following mode that: the air outlets are uniformly divided into four lines around the periphery of the shell in the horizontal direction; the air outlets on each line are arrayed at intervals in the vertical direction; and all lines of air outlets adopt the same arrangement mode. For regulating an air outlet range, the air-conditioning air outlet device also comprises the wind shields. The arrangement mode of the wind shields is the same with that of the air outlets. The wind shields are connected with transmission devices so that the wind shields can move upwards by utilizing the transmission devices to shield the corresponding air outlets. The four lines of wind shields are connected with the four sets of independent transmission devices. The air-conditioning air outlet device provided by the utility model has the advantages of regulating the air outlet range and position of an air-conditioning by change of the amount of the positions of users, effectively saving energy and improving energy utilization rate.

TL;DR: In this article, a procedure for the optimization of multilayered shields for low-frequency magnetic fields is presented, where the shield is optimized with respect to the total volume of the composing materials, being the magnetic flux density at test points in the shielded region smaller than a given threshold value.
Abstract: In this paper a procedure for the optimization of multilayered shields for low-frequency magnetic fields is presented. The shield is optimized with respect to the total volume of the composing materials, being the magnetic flux density magnitude at test points in the shielded region smaller than a given threshold value. For simplicity, shields composed of two different materials only are considered. The number and thickness of the shield layers belong to the set of the control variables. Only one layer thickness at a time is allowed to vary. The procedure is repeated for the different multilayered shield configurations, starting from the single-layer ones for each material, until the optimum shield volume is reached.
