TL;DR: In this paper, the transient response characteristic including both of the steady state and the transient state of a speaker is measured, and measurement of the speaker 12 correlated to the evaluation of actual hearing by a person is realized.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the speaker measuring instrument which measures the transient response characteristic of a speaker which includes both properties in the steady state and the transient state correlated to the evaluation of actual hearing by a person. CONSTITUTION:A sine wave generator 8 which generates a single sine wave, a tone burst wave generator 9 which generates a tone burst wave, a mixing circuit 10 which mixes outputs of generators 8 and 9, an amplifier 11 which amplifies the output of the mixing circuit 10 and is connected to a speaker 12 to be measured, a microphone 13 arranged to face the speaker 12, a measuring amplifier 15 which amplifies the output of the microphone 13, and a frequency analyzer 16 connected to this amplifier 15 are provided. Thus, the transient response characteristic including both of the steady state and the transient state of the speaker 12 is measured, and measurement of the speaker 12 correlated to the evaluation of actual hearing by a person is realized.

TL;DR: In this article, a CCD transversal filters are employed as bandpass filters, being tuned for different modes of operation by adjustment of the clock frequency, and a charge amplifier is used to remove d.c. offset from the analog output of the filters.
Abstract: A Modem utilizing process technology compatible CCD and IGFET circuits and sub-systems incorporated on a single I.C. chip. CCD transversal filters are employed as bandpass filters, being tuned for different modes of operation by adjustment of the clock frequency. The bandpass filters are operated in conjunction with a charge amplifier to remove d.c. offset from the analog output of the filters. The demodulator section of the Modem also incorporates low-pass filter employing switched resistors. The modulator section includes waveform generators based on a digital-to-analog converter including switched capacitors having values selected such that a sine wave having minimal distortion is generated when switched in proper sequence. Provision is made for digital inputs to control the frequency and amplitude of the sine wave output. The Modem can be operated under control of a microprocessor.

TL;DR: A UHF direct frequency synthesizer, which is primarily intended for radar and electronic warfare applications, is described, including two digital-to-analog converters (DACs), each of which has a faster operating specification than any DAC currently available.
Abstract: A UHF direct frequency synthesizer, which is primarily intended for radar and electronic warfare applications, is described. The device generates square-, sine-, and triangle-wave outputs, true and complement, in-phase and quadrature, over the range 1 Hz to 500 MHz. It is a fully integrated design, including two digital-to-analog converters (DACs), each of which has a faster operating specification than any DAC currently available. The circuit is composed of a number of structured circuit blocks, each of which can be tested independently on the chip. This approach has benefits both during device evaluation and as an aid to minimizing production test times. The chip is implemented in a 1 mu m silicon bipolar process. >

TL;DR: In this article, the value stored in the phase increment register (114) is then sent to a phase accumulator (116) where successive phase increments are summed together and the summed value is in turn sent to sine lookup table (118) where the instantaneous phase value is converted into sine amplitude.
Abstract: Certain operational characteristics of a crystal (104) are measured during a testing and grading process. Once determined, information representing these operational characteristics are stored in memory (120) and utilized by a controller (122) to increment a phase increment register (114) upon determining the crystals ambient temperature via a temperature sensing circuit (124). The value stored in the phase increment register (114) is then sent to a phase accumulator (116) where successive phase increments are summed together. This summed value is in turn sent to a sine lookup table (118) where the instantaneous phase value is converted into sine amplitude. Finally, a digital to analog converter (126) converts the amplitude bit stream into an analog signal for use as a reference oscillator frequency having extremely high frequency resolution. The above mentioned process is repeated every clock cycle until a complete sine wave is produced at which point the phase accumulator is reset to zero and the process begins again.
