TL;DR: In this article, a mathematical model for the design of a sinusoidal pressure wave generator is developed to reduce the risks of clogging in a mud pulse generator, and an optimum design method for the generator is provided by combining the developed model and a computational fluid dynamics analysis.

TL;DR: In this paper, two different models representing a joint between drill rods are analyzed and the efficiencies of stress wave energy transfer derived from the two models are shown to agree well in many situations of interest in hammer drilling, and since the rigid joint model leads to simplified analysis, this model is used in solving two problems.

TL;DR: The development and implementation of a digital signal processor (DSP) based portable impedance measurement instrument that enables the adjustment of the reference impedance to improve accuracy is described in this paper.
Abstract: The development and implementation of a digital signal processor (DSP) based portable impedance measurement instrument is described in this paper. The circuit sinewave stimulus is generated by the device using a direct digital synthesizer at the desired measurement frequency. The sine is applied to a reference impedance in series with the unknown impedance. Two analog to digital converters (ADCs) acquire multiple samples of the two sine voltages which are transmitted to the DSP. Sine-fitting algorithms determine the sine amplitudes, phases, DC components and frequency. From these values and the reference impedance values, the impedance amplitude and phase are determined. Included in the device, amplifiers extend the ADCs input range while a digital potentiometer enables the adjustment of the reference impedance to improve accuracy

TL;DR: In this article, a sequential chirp modulation-type spread spectrum communication system is proposed for the FH-type, which realizes fine transmission quality at low cost, where at least primary and secondary digital sine wave generators of a program controlled-type mounted respectively on a transmitter of a transmitting side and a receiver of a receiving side.
Abstract: A sequential chirp modulation-type spread spectrum communication system is disclosed relating to the FH-type which realizes fine transmission quality at low cost. It comprises at least primary and secondary digital sine wave generators of a program controlled-type mounted respectively on a transmitter of a transmitting side and a receiver of a receiving side. The primary sine wave generator generates a sine wave having a frequency which changes almost continuously and Pseudo-Random in the specified range of frequency according to the program. The primary digital sine wave generator also transmits the sine wave from the transmitting side after modulating the sine wave with the signals which should be transmitted. The secondary digital sine wave generator generates a sine wave having a frequency in which the specified frequency is a constant distance from the receiving signal frequency and receiving the receiving signal after demodulating.

TL;DR: In this article, a synthesis subband filter built with real-value operations is suppressed by inserting a suppression signal to subbands adjacent to the subband to which the sine wave is injected.
Abstract: A wideband, high quality audio signal is decoded with few calculations at a low bitrate. Unwanted spectrum components accompanying sinusoidal signal injection by a synthesis subband filter built with real-value operations are suppressed by inserting a suppression signal to subbands adjacent to the subband to which the sine wave is injected. This makes it possible to inject a desired sinusoid with few calculations.
