TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an active type vibration noise controller in which computational quantity required to obtain reference signals is reduced and which provides sufficient vibration noise control effect, where the filter coefficients of an adaptive notch filter are successively updated so that error signals outputted by a microphone 18 are minimized based on the error signals and first reference signals.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active type vibration noise controller in which computational quantity required to obtain reference signals is reduced and which provides sufficient vibration noise control effect. SOLUTION: In the active type vibration noise controller, the filter coefficients of an adaptive notch filter 14 are successively updated so that error signals outputted by a microphone 18 are minimized based on the error signals and first reference signals, wherein the first reference signals are obtained by subtracting signals that are obtained by multiplying a sine correction value C1 based on the sine value of phase characteristics by reference sine wave signals of vibration noise frequencies from signals that are obtained by multiplying a cosine correction value C0 based on the cosine value of the phase characteristics in signal transmission characteristics from a loudspeaker 17 generating canceling vibration noise to the microphone 18 by reference cosine wave signals of vibration noise frequencies. Moreover, filter coefficients of an adaptive notch filter 15 are successively updated so that error signals are minimized based on the error signals and second reference signals, wherein the second reference signals are obtained by adding signals that are obtained by multiplying the reference sine wave signals by the cosine correction value C1 to signals that are obtained by multiplying the reference cosine wave signals by the sine correction value C0. TL;DR: Aim of this paper is extraction of fundamental and harmonic components in voltage/current signal using FFT & STFT, plot the stylized spectrum of distorted signal in MATLAB with power system frequency and calculate total harmonic distortion (THD) that will be useful for solving problems related to power quality.
Abstract: Now a day’s Harmonic distortion has been a significant problem to maintain power quality. It is very essential to analyze of power signal and find different harmonics. Some harmonics in the power signals are harmful to sensitive equipments and also causes to power loss. It is therefore important to find such harmonics and use different harmonic mitigation techniques to get clean/pure signal for safe operation of the connected equipments and minimize Power loss. Harmonic distortion is the corruption of the fundamental sine wave at frequencies that are multiples of the fundamental. Aim of this paper is extraction of fundamental and harmonic components in voltage/current signal using FFT & STFT, plot the stylized spectrum of distorted signal in MATLAB with power system frequency and classify the subtypes of harmonics, study the different characteristics and calculate total harmonic distortion (THD) that will be useful for solving problems related to power quality.

TL;DR: In this article, a controller for an inverter for drive of a motor improves the input power factor of a diode full wave rectifying circuit and the waveform by controlling the torque of the motor.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a motor which does not much affect efficiency even if ripple occurs sharply, and an inverter for drive of the motor, which controls the currents of the d and q axes of the motor so that the the input current i may become sine waves as far as possible by letting a current ed contain ripple intentionally and controlling it. SOLUTION: This controller for an inverter for drive of a motor improves the input power factor of a diode full wave rectifying circuit 2 and the waveform, by controlling the torque of a motor 5 in advance, with the frequency double the power source, by means of a single-phase diode full wave rectifying circuit 2 which receives the input of a single-phase AC power source 1, a small- capacity smoothing capacitor 3 about one hundredth the smoothing capacitor for a conventional diode full wave rectifying circuit connected to this, and 8 control circuit 6 composed of a PWM inverter circuit 4 for control and a motor 5.

TL;DR: In this article, a time division multiplex system is disclosed in which a plurality of digital phase step numbers are used to generate an equal plurality of output frequencies, each digital phase shift number may be altered in accordance with modulating signals so that each output frequency is frequency-shift keyed, and/or phase shift keyed.
Abstract: A desired output frequency can be generated by applying a corresponding digital phase step number to an accumulator to generate multiples of the number for application to a sine wave look-up table from which digital samples of the sine wave amplitude are obtained. The digital samples can be applied through a digital-to-analog converter to produce the desired output frequency in analog form. A time division multiplex system is disclosed in which a plurality of digital phase step numbers are used to generate an equal plurality of output frequencies. Each digital phase shift number may be altered in accordance with modulating signals so that each output frequency is frequency-shift keyed, and/or phase shift keyed, and/or on-off keyed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an optical storage device for estimating the radial speed of a disc was proposed. But the method was not suitable for optical storage devices, as it required the use of a sinusoidal wave generator and a frequency detector.
Abstract: An apparatus or method for estimating a radial speed of a disc is suitable for an optical storage device. The apparatus is used in an optical storage device for receiving a pulse signal and an eccentricity, and generating an estimated radial speed of the disc. The apparatus comprises a frequency detector and a sinusoidal wave generator. The frequency detector is used for receiving the pulse signal and then outputs a rotation frequency. The sinusoidal wave generator is used for receiving the rotation frequency and the eccentricity, and then outputs an estimated radial speed value of the disc. As mentioned, the estimated radial speed has an amplitude related to the eccentricity and the rotation frequency, and a frequency related to the rotation frequency, and when a jump direction is changed, the estimated radial speed is zero-crossing
