Abstract: The mechanism is esp. for palletised loads. It has a measuring system (13) determining the positions of the lorry (101) and the load (102). The truck (2) is guided by rollers on rails (1) running parallel to the lorry and on one side of it. It has a slewing ring (3) with ball-bearings, and a linear guide (4) with slide (7) and lifting forks (9,10). The guide with slide and forks slews on the slewing ring. The measuring system can be ultrasonic, or formed by a picture-processing system or a multi-dimensional laser scanner. The load can be accommodated by a two-pronged fork with lifting ram.
