Abstract: The selection of slewing bearings is based on the static load-carrying capacity. In this sense, manufacturers provide selection curves in their catalogues. However, little information is given about their origin. This work develops new and more versatile selection curves for four contact point slewing bearings, with a clear explanation of their background, scope and limitations. The new curves take into account the two possible static failure types, the ball-raceway contact failure and the bolted joint failure.

Each connecting arm is cut off to form a first arm portion and a second arm portion which are connected via a flexible connecting structure. Each flexible connecting structure comprises a connector and an elastic part, the connectors connected with the first arm portions and the second arm portions, and the elastic parts are sleeved with the connectors. The connecting arms of the servo frame are divided into the first arm portions and the second arm portions, and the first arm portions and the second arm portions are connected by the flexible connecting structures, so that the servo frame can displace slightly on the premise of always keeping a certain total size, and buffering and vibration absorbing are realized.
