TL;DR: This work presents a wireless embedded smart-camera system for cooperative object tracking and detection of composite events spanning multiple camera views, and analyzes power consumption and system- and algorithm-wise challenges.
Abstract: Embedded smart cameras have limited processing power, memory, energy, and bandwidth. Thus, many system- and algorithm-wise challenges remain to be addressed to have operational, battery-powered wireless smart-camera networks. We present a wireless embedded smart-camera system for cooperative object tracking and detection of composite events spanning multiple camera views. Each camera is a CITRIC mote consisting of a camera board and wireless mote. Lightweight and robust foreground detection and tracking algorithms are implemented on the camera boards. Cameras exchange small-sized data wirelessly in a peer-to-peer manner. Instead of transferring or saving every frame or trajectory, events of interest are detected. Simpler events are combined in a time sequence to define semantically higher-level events. Event complexity can be increased by increasing the number of primitives and/or number of camera views they span. Examples of consistently tracking objects across different cameras, updating location of occluded/lost objects from other cameras, and detecting composite events spanning two or three camera views, are presented. All the processing is performed on camera boards. Operating current plots of smart cameras, obtained when performing different tasks, are also presented. Power consumption is analyzed based upon these measurements.

TL;DR: In this article, the master camera is set as a master camera, and other slave cameras are set as slave cameras, and based on the photography operation of the master cameras, the slave cameras photograph.
Abstract: Users of digital cameras are ensured to photograph in a remote camera system which employs a plurality of imaging devices. One digital camera is set as a master camera, and other digital cameras are set as slave cameras. Thus, based on the photography operation of the master camera, the slave cameras photograph. By pressing a shutter button of the master camera halfway, photography notification data is sent to the slave cameras from the master camera, notifying that the photographing is about to take place. After receiving the notice, the slave cameras perform photography notification by outputting sound or voice, displaying messages, or the like. Therefore, the users of the slave cameras are able to know that photographing is about to take place.

TL;DR: In this paper, a closed circuit television system (10) includes a plurality of cameras (C1-Cn) installed throughout an area along routes (R1-Rn) followed by someone passing through the area.
Abstract: A closed circuit television system (10) includes a plurality of cameras (C1-Cn) installed throughout an area along routes (R1-Rn) followed by someone passing through the area. A touch screen monitor (18) displays camera images (SC). A console 12 operator selects which camera's image to display. The camera selected is a camera observing a person or object in a path by which the person or object is moving through the area. A tracking system (30) is responsive to the operator for selecting one or more additional cameras positioned along the routes the person or object would follow in moving from their current location. The monitor also displays images from each of these other selected cameras. The tracking system allows the operator to change the selection of cameras whose images are displayed in response to the route, and changes in route, as well as to initiate recording of the camera imagery.

TL;DR: In this paper, a digital camera is registered in a computer system, transmissions from the camera can be transmitted to the receiving first computer and thereafter transferred over the network for creation of a multi-media file which can be viewed at a private network or Internet accessible second computer.
Abstract: A digital camera supplies images to a first computer of a network via a receiver which is enabled as a bridge for Bluetooth, wireless LAN and infrared transmission from a digital camera. Once a digital camera is registered in a computer system, transmissions from the camera can be transmitted to the receiving first computer and thereafter transferred over the network for creation of a multi-media file which can be viewed at a private network or Internet accessible second computer.
