TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a camera system application program interface (API) for third-party integrations, in which a camera device captures images as a video stream and communicates the video stream to a cloud-based service.
Abstract: In embodiments of a camera system application program interface (API) for third-party integrations, a camera device captures images as a video stream and communicates the video stream to a cloud-based service. The cloud-based service implements a service application that processes video data received as the video stream. The cloud-based service exposes the camera system API that can be invoked by a third-party application running on a client device to request the video data and camera data that is associated with the camera device. The API permits access by the third-party application to the video data and the camera data from the cloud-based service. The API is exposed for the third-party application to communicate with the cloud-based service via a network connection, and the camera device communicates with the cloud-based service via a secure connection to provide the requested camera data and communicate the video stream to the cloud-based service.

TL;DR: In this article, a camera connects automatically to a server designated in accordance with the read identification information through a communication interface, and transmits and stores the data of recorded images to the designated server.
Abstract: The camera reads identification information of the user, which is contained in an identification card, through a card reading part. The camera connects automatically to a server designated in accordance with the read identification information through a communication interface. Then, the camera transmits and stores the data of recorded images to the designated server. The camera retrieves the image data stored in the server, and reproduces and displays the image on an image display at the back of the camera. A plurality of cameras in which the same user's identification information is set can be controlled altogether in the image-recording and reproduction by one camera. One camera in which the identification information of a plurality of user's is set can distribute the recorded image data to the servers of the users simultaneously.

TL;DR: In this paper, a portable camera and lighting unit for standalone use in videography is presented, which can create a high-resolution well-illuminated video feed from a vast array of camera angles and positions, the illumination source always inherently tracking with the camera.
Abstract: The present invention is a portable camera and lighting unit for standalone use in videography to create a high-resolution well-illuminated video feed from a vast array of camera angles and positions, the illumination source always inherently tracking with the camera. The unit may also be used as a satellite in combination with a primary video conferencing and production station (VVPR) for multi-camera production and teleconferencing capabilities. The portable camera and lighting unit includes a portable base, a mast extending upward from the base, and an articulating boom that is fully-pivotable and extendable. A remote control Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera is mounted at the end of the boom for overhead images of healthcare procedures, and an adjustable beam light source is mounted directly on the camera for lighting. The mast is equipped with a color monitor coupled to the camera for operator previewing at the portable unit, and the remote control camera provides a single video feed that can be teleconferenced, recorded, and even mixed with other cameras when used as a satellite adjunct to the primary VVPR, thereby allow full production capabilities for live interactive broadcasts, all in real time by a single operator from a single point of control. The portable unit is mobile and offers more diverse lighting and camera angles than previously possible.

TL;DR: An image capturing mechanism for capturing an image of a target includes a support platform, a camera platform suspended from the support platform by a support cable, and a camera mounted to the camera platform and a stabilization mechanism associated with the camera as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: An image capturing mechanism for capturing an image of a target includes a support platform, a camera platform suspended from the support platform by a support cable, a camera mounted to the camera platform and a stabilization mechanism associated with the camera. A first end of the support cable is mounted to the support platform and a second end of the support cable is mounted to the camera platform. The stabilization mechanism stabilizes the captured image or the camera. Methods for capturing images utilizing the image capturing mechanism and advertising that may be associated with the device are also disclosed. An advertising medium is mounted to the support platform or the camera platforms to provide noticeable advertising space in a venue where the image capturing mechanism is utilized.
