Abstract: The Grid has emerged as a key computing infrastructure for the coordinated and secure use of shared resources in a distributed environment, and supports new approaches to the use of computer resources, instruments, sensors, and human expertise in a number of broad areas including science, business, government, and healthcare. Efforts are underway, through organizations such as the Global Grid Forum and the World-Wide Web Consortium, to standardize aspects of the Grid software infrastructure, and a consensus has emerged based on the idea of a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). Proposed approaches such as the Open Grid Services Architecture, and service description and flow languages, are all relevant to the ongoing debate over the details of an SOA for the Grid.

Abstract: The common Grid systems are running on the backbone of Internet. These high performance computing environment provide a high scalable, high reconstructive Grid services in a C/S mode, while more and more Grid applications require a P2P liked infrastructure for personal intercommunication, resources sharing and collaborative work. Personal Grid, we proposed in VEGA Grid project of ICT, would establish such kind of platform to facilitate the messages transmitting and resources sharing for the end Grid users who are using Grid at the edge of the Internet. The core protocol of Personal Grid gives attentions to security, network bandwidth usage and real time requirements. The Personal Grid running environment is very similar to P2P system; it inherits some advantages of P2P system and enhances some parts for Grid usage such as security protection of mandatory access control.

Abstract: CRIEPI proposed the autonomous demand area power system (ADAPS) as a new concept of future demand area distribution system to cope with large penetration of distributed power generation including PV system. In order to increase possible penetration rate of PV system with resolving grid interconnection issues on power quality, safety and reliability of the grid, new composition and operation measures adopted in the grid side and PV system side in the ADAPS are investigated. In the paper, new grid network configuration using loop-shaped form is proposed. New devices to control grid voltage, power flow and PV system operation using advanced power electronics and communication system are also discussed.
