Abstract: 1 Intratracheal instillation of sodium dichromate (CrVI) and chromium acetate hydroxide (CrIII) to male Wistar rats gave rise to increased chromium concentrations in whole blood, plasma and urine up to 72 h post exposure; peak concentrations were reached at 6 h after exposure.2 The ratio of whole blood chromium to plasma chromium concentrations was significantly different for Cr(VI) and CR(III) treatments. Both blood chromium and plasma chromium assays should therefore be used for the assessment of chromium exposure.3 Chromium was also detected in peripheral lymphocytes. Cr(VI), but not Cr(lll) accumulated significantly in the lymphocytes after treatment. These cells have potential to be used for biomarkers of the assessment of exposure to chromium compounds.

Abstract: This invention discloses a method to dye pure silk with a chromo-liquid extracted from a natural plant known as logwood. It includer pre-mordanting, mixed mordanting and post-mordanting sreps by addition of potassium chromate, sodium chromate, potassium dichromate, sodium dichromate, cobalt sulfate, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, iron sulfate, aluminium sulfate, nickle sulfate, calcium chloride, alum and tannic acid. The mordant may be one or more of said material. The dyed pure silk shows red or yellow as well as derived secondary or triple colours. Its advantages are soft lustre, no decolouring, good recurrence nature, and half a class in chromatic aberration, and no poison, harm, and pollution.

This invention is mature in technology, economizes raw material, is low in investment, quick to start, and can fully utilize complete waste of sodium hydrosulphate generated in production of chromate so that good environmental effect and great economic effect are attained.
