Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Results clearly indicate that low dose chronic administration of sodium dichromate and cadmium chloride induces an oxidative stress resulting in tissue damaging effects that may contribute to the toxicity and carcinogenicity of these two cations.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Results indicate that pesticides as well as Cd(II) and Cr(VI) salts can modulate a vital component of the cell signaling pathway, namely PKC activity, which may be a target of free radicals and oxidative stress, leading to altered cell proliferation and differentiation.

TL;DR: A superconducting heat transfer medium has three basic layers, the first layer being various combinations of cobalt, manganese, beryllium, strontium, rhodium, copper, β-titanium, potassium, boron, calcium, and the dichromate radical as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A superconducting heat transfer medium that has three basic layers, the first layer being various combinations of sodium, beryllium, a metal such as manganese or aluminum, calcium, boron and dichromate radical; the second layer formed over the first layer and being various combinations of cobalt, manganese, beryllium, strontium, rhodium, copper, β-titanium, potassium, boron, calcium, a metal such as manganese or aluminum and the dichromate radical; and the third layer formed over the second layer and being various combinations of rhodium oxide, potassium dichromate, radium oxide, sodium dichromate, silver dichromate, monocrystalline silicon, beryllium oxide, strontium chromate, boron oxide, β-titanium and a metal dichromate, such as manganese dichromate or aluminum dichromate. The three layers can be applied to a conduit and then heat polarized to form a superconducting heat transfer device that transfers heat without any net heat loss, or can be applied to a pair of plates having a small cavity relative to a large surface area to form a heat sink that can immediately disperse heat from a heat source.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of dichromate, chromate, molybdate, nitrite and nitrate anions on the chloride pitting corrosion of tin in each of the following solutions: Na2CO3 (pH = 10.9), Na2B4O7 (PH = 8.35) and Na2SO4 (Ph = 6.8) (each solution containing 0.1 M NaCl) has been studied.

TL;DR: In this article, an electropolishing soln capable of remarkably improving the surface brightness of a stainless steel by adding gluten or a wheat flour being a material containing the gluten to a sulfuric acid soln and a (sulfuric acid + phosphoric acid) soln is presented.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive electropolishing soln capable of remarkably improving the surface brightness of a stainless steel by adding gluten or a wheat flour being a material containing the gluten to a sulfuric acid soln and a (sulfuric acid + phosphoric acid) soln SOLUTION: The electropolishing soln is obtained by incorporating >=3g and =8g and =40% and =40% and <=85% (sulfuric acid + phosphoric acid) concn and the balance substantially water or by adding potassium dichromate or sodium dichromate or these mixture or ethanol to these soln
