TL;DR: In this article, Japio et al. proposed to obtain high mold release ability without using an external mold releasing agent, by forming nickel-phosphorus films on the surface of metal molds.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain high mold release ability without using an external mold releasing agent, by forming nickel-phosphorus films on the surface of metal molds. CONSTITUTION: Nickel-phosphorus films 3 and 4 are formed on the surface of seal metal molds 1 and 2 for resin-sealed type semiconductor device which are used in sealing a semiconductor element 6 mounted on a lead frame 5 with resin by transfer shaping. For example, the nickel-phosphorus films 3 and 4 are formed by electroless deposition with plating liquid having pH 3 to 6, the principal components of which are sodium hypophosphite and nickel sulfate, and containing 7 to 15% of phosphorus. Desirable conditions of heat treatment after plating are at 280°C and for 30 minutes to form films of about 800Hv of Vickers hardness or higher. The films about 40μm thick are formed first and are then polished to be 3 to 5μm thick finally. COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio

TL;DR: In this article, the condensation reaction of TESP-SA in conjunction with SHP results in the formation of a foamed, brittle material with closed macro cells, characterized by means of various analytical methods (FT-IR, 29Si MAS NMR, XRD, TG-MS, SEM).
Abstract: (3-Triethoxysilylpropyl)succinic anhydride (TESP-SA) is an organo-functional silicon compound that can be converted into a polysilsesquioxane when it is hydrolyzed and subsequently subjected to a condensation reaction at elevated temperatures (>160 °C). If this process is performed without sodium hypophosphite (SHP), a hard solid material is obtained. In contrast, the condensation reaction of TESP-SA in conjunction with SHP results in the formation of a foamed, brittle material with closed macro cells. The foam was characterized by means of various analytical methods (FT-IR, 29Si MAS NMR, XRD, TG-MS, SEM).

TL;DR: In this article, a soft magnetic material film consisting of NIFeP, characterized in that the Ni content is 70-85 weight% and the value of the Fe/P (weight ratio) is 8-1, is obtained by treating the film in an electroless plating bath consisting of metal ions with nickel and iron as main components, as well as a water solution containing a PH adjusting agent, and containing 0.2-0.5mol/L of ammonium sulfate as a PH buffer 0.5-1mol /L of citrate as a complex
Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a soft magnetic material film made of NiFeP having low coercive force and favorable characteristics as a soft magnetic material and a method to uniformly and stably manufacture the film by electroless plating. CONSTITUTION:A soft magnetic material film consisting of NIFeP, characterized in that the Ni content is 70-85 weight% and the value of the Fe/P (weight ratio) is 8-1, is obtained by treating the film in an electroless plating bath consisting of metal ions with nickel and iron as main components, as well as a water solution containing a PH adjusting agent, and containing 0.2-0.5mol/L of ammonium sulfate as a PH buffer 0.5-1mol/L of citrate as a complexing agent for the metal ions, and 0.005-0.03mol/L of sodium hypophosphite as a reducing agent for the metal ions.

TL;DR: In this article, an iron plated layer contg. P on at least part of the surface of the substrate metal of a cathode is used to prevent the oxidation of ferrous ions by carrying out the plating in a non-exidizing atmosphere.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cathode for electrolyzing water having remarkably lower hydrogen overvoltage than a conventional cathode during electrolysis as well as high mechanical strength by forming an iron plated layer contg. P on at least part of the surface of the substrate metal of a cathode. CONSTITUTION:A cathode for electrlyzing water is manufactured by forming an iron plated layer contg. P on at least part of the surface of a cathode body made of material such as iron, Ni or Ti which is used as the base material of a cathode in general. To an iron plating bath contg. water soluble iron salt by 0.1-1.7mol/l as ferrous ions are added 0;1-1mol/l hypophosphite ions such as sodium hypophosphite, and an ordinary water soluble buffer or a complexing agent is added preferably. This plating bath is adjusted to 1.5-9pH, and said cathode base material is plated at 20-90 deg.C and 2-20A/dm current density. It is desirable to prevent the oxidation of ferrous ions by carrying out the plating in a nonoexidizing atmosphere.

TL;DR: The rotational hysteresis integrals for the cobalt particles studied were in the range 1.2 to 1.8 as mentioned in this paper, indicating a single-domain chain of spheres model involving incoherent reversal.
Abstract: The preparation of submicroscopic chained cobalt and cobalt alloy particles by spontaneous autocatalytic reduction in protein solution has been studied. By varying the kind of protein, the average particle size can be easily varied from approximately 100 A to 500 A. The effects of the bath pH and hypophosphite content on the magnetic properties of the particles obtained are measured. It has been found that the coercive force can be increased at pH values from 8.0 to 8.5. However, coercive forces ranging from 300 Oe to 1000 Oe can be obtained by controlling the concentration of sodium hypophosphite. The rotational hysteresis integrals for the cobalt particles studied were in the range 1.2 to 1.8. These values are indicative of a single-domain chain of spheres model involving incoherent reversal.
