TL;DR: In this paper, an electroless nickel-tungsten-phosphorus alloy plating solution and a plating method using the same are provided to prevent the discoloration or stain of a film plated on the surface of a metal.
Abstract: PURPOSE: An electroless nickel-tungsten-phosphorus alloy plating solution and a plating method using the same are provided to prevent the discoloration or stain of a film plated on the surface of a metal, thereby stably maintaining the plated condition of the film. CONSTITUTION: An electroless nickel-tungsten-phosphorus alloy plating solution includes 30 to 50 g/Lt of a nickel sulfate hexahydrate (NiSO46H2O) as metallic salt, 50 to 100 g/Lt of a tungsten alloy source selected from a group of a sodium tungstate dihydrate (Na2WO42H2O), a tungsten oxide, a tungsten chloride, and a carbonyl chloride tungsten, 30 to 50 g/Lt of a sodium hypophosphite (NaH2PO2H2O) as a reducing agent, and a complex agent selected from a group of 50 to 100 g/Lt of a sodium citrate (Na3C6H5O7H2O) and 100 to 130 g/Lt of an ammonium sulfate ((Na4)2SO4), a group of 50 to 100 g/Lt of the sodium citrate, 100 to 130 g/Lt of the ammonium sulfate, and 30 to 50 g/Lt of a glycine (HNCHCOOH), and a group of 50 to 100 g/Lt of the sodium citrate and 150 to 230 g/Lt of an ammonium citrate ((Na4)2HC6H5O7). TL;DR: In this paper, a one-stage method for the preparation of alkyl glycosides and polyglycosides from saccharides and alcohols with 12 to 20 C atoms by acid-catalysed reaction in the presence of sodium hypophosphite is described.
Abstract: In a one-stage method for the preparation of alkyl glycosides and alkyl polyglycosides from saccharides and alcohols with 12 to 20 C atoms by acid-catalysed reaction in the presence of sodium hypophosphite, products of improved colour are prepared by employing saccharide and alcohol in the molar ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 10 and neutralising with alcoholic alkali metal hydroxide.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the study of electroless Ni-W-P alloys coating using acid or alkaline bath on martensitic stainless steel for 15, 30, and 60 minutes.
Abstract: Electroless nickel phospor (Ni-P) is widely used in many industries due to their corrosion and wear resistance, coating uniformity, and ability to coat non-conductive surfaces. The unique properties of tungsten such as high hardness, higher melting point, lower coefficient of linear thermal expansion, and high tensile strength have created a lot of interest in developing ternary Ni-W-P alloys. This article presents the study of electroless Ni-W-P alloys coating using acid or alkaline bath on martensitic stainless steel. Nickel sulfate and sodium tungstate were used as nickel and tungsten sources, respectively, and sodium hypophosphite was used as a reducing agent. Acid or alkaline bath refer to bath pH condition was adjusted by adding sulfuric acid. Martensitic stainless steel was immersed in Ni-W-P bath for 15, 30, and 60 minutes. The substrate of martensitic stainless steel was subjected to pre-treatment (polishing and cleaning) and activation prior to electroless plating. The plating characteristics we...

TL;DR: In this article, a ternary Ni-W-P alloy is proposed to obtain a plated layer having superior hardness at high temp, superior wear resistance and magnetic characteristics in spite of the low W content of the alloy.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a plated layer having superior hardness at high temp, superior wear resistance and magnetic characteristics in spite of the low W content by plating a ternary Ni-W-P alloy contg a specified amount of P on the surface of a metal CONSTITUTION:A plating bath contg 60-100g/l nickel sulfate, 10-30g/l sodium tungstate, 10-50g/l sodium hypophosphite and 100-200g/l sodium citrate is adjusted to 7-8pH with an aqueous ammonia soln and heated to 70-90 degC An insoluble anode such as a stainless steel plate or a Pt plated Ti plate and a metallic member of Fe, Cu or the like as a cathode are placed in the plating bath, and a ternary alloy consisting of 10-20% W, 5-15% P and the balance Ni is electroplated on the cathode at 10-20A/dm cathode current density A plated alloy layer having superior hardness at high temp, superior wear resistance and magnetic characteristics can be formed with an amount of expen sive W in the alloy layer of only 10-20%
