TL;DR: In this article, the influence of plating conditions on the properties of Pd-P thin films over carbon steel was investigated in detail, and it was observed that the amount of co-deposited P depends on both the deposition time and the employed NaH 2 PO 2 concentration, which in turn determined the degree of amorphicity of the so-prepared Pd−P layers.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of temperature and pH on the deposition rate has been studied and a suitable rate equation is proposed, which is based on the rate equation proposed in this paper.
Abstract: Nickel-phosphorus coatings have been obtained by electroless plating from acidic solutions containing sodium potassium tartrate and sodium hypophosphite Allylthiourea has been used to stabilize the solution. Boric acid and sodium chloride enhance the plating process. The effect of temperature and pH on the deposition rate has been studied and a suitable rate equation is proposed

TL;DR: In this article, the solid-liquid phase equilibria of Ca(H2PO2)2 and CaCl2∙6H2O were studied experimentally via the classical isothermal solubility equilibrium method, and phase diagrams for these two systems were obtained.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of plating parameters on the composition and structure of electrodeposited Fe-Ni-P alloys have been studied using a sulfate electrolyte containing sodium hypophosphite with an acetate buffer.
Abstract: SUMMARYThe effects of plating parameters on the composition and structure of electrodeposited Fe-Ni-P alloys have been studied. A sulfate electrolyte containing sodium hypophosphite with an acetate buffer was used. Deposits were plated onto both planar and rotating cylinder electrodes. Alloy deposits that were amorphous over a wide range of iron:nickel ratios were achieved. The anomalous deposition typical of Ni-Fe alloy plating was not observed in these studies where phosphorus was codedeposited. The deposit composition was dependent on both the plating bath composition and current density.

TL;DR: A series of nickel phosphide (Ni2P) catalysts supported on Y zeolite, SBA-15 and mesocellular silica foams (MCF) were prepared by the thermal treatment of nickel chloride and sodium hypophosphite at low temperature.
Abstract: A series of nickel phosphide (Ni2P) catalysts supported on Y zeolite, SBA-15 and mesocellular silica foams (MCF) were prepared by the thermal treatment of nickel chloride and sodium hypophosphite at low temperature. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, nitrogen adsorption–desorption and TEM, and evaluated in the hydrogenation of cyclohexene. The supported Ni2P catalysts exhibited an obvious difference in catalytic performances. Ni2P/MCF was demonstrated to be highly efficient among three kinds of catalysts because the ultra-large mesopores and large pore volume of MCF promote the dispersion of Ni2P and accelerate the diffusion of reactant and product. Under the reaction conditions of 80 °C and 1.5 MPa, 40 % Ni2P/MCF afforded a very high cyclohexene conversion of 97.5 %.
