Abstract: Mastitis, an inflammation of the mammary glands, is a major disease affecting dairy animal worldwide. Propionate is one of the main short chain fatty acid (SCFAs) that can exert multiple effects on the inflammatory process. The purpose of the study is to investigate the mechanisms underlying the protective effects of sodium propionate against Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mastitis model in mice. The data mainly confirm that inflammation and blood-milk barrier breakdown contribute to progression of the disease in this model. In mice with LPS, sodium propionate attenuates the LPS-induced histopathologic changes, inflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) production, myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity in mammary tissues. Given their importance in the blood-milk barrier, tight junction proteins occludin and claudin-3 are further investigated. Our results show that sodium propionate strikingly increases the expressions of occludin and claudin-3 and reduces the blood-milk barrier permeability in this model. Furthermore, in LPS-stimulated mouse mammary epithelial cells (mMECs), LPS increased the expressions of phosphorylated (p)-p65, p-IκB proteins, which is attenuated by sodium propionate. Finally, we examine the possibility that propionate acts as a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, the results show that both sodium propionate and trichostatin A (TSA) increase the level of histone H3 acetylation and inhibit the increased production of TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β in LPS-stimulated mMECs. These data suggest that sodium propionate protects against LPS-induced mastitis mainly by restoring blood-milk barrier disruption and suppressing inflammation via NF-κB signaling pathway and HDAC inhibition.

The matrix is prepared from the following components (in parts by weight) including a vector, a nutrient and water; the vector is prepared from the following components (in parts by weight) including an acrylic monomer, oxamide, p-ethoxy benzamide, 4-hydroperoxyl cyclophosphamide, tris (butoxyethyl) phosphate, a crosslinking agent, an initiator, a reinforcing agent, maleamic acid and phosphoenolpyruvate; and the nutrient is prepared from the following components (in parts by weight) including starch, dextran, vitamin B1, ammonium phosphate, peptone, D-glucose-6-phosphate, glucono-delta-lactone, glucosamine sulfate sodium, EDTA calcium disodium, sodium propionate and sodium dihydroxyethylglycinate. The prepared matrix can have better preservation action on the nutrient, thus enabling the Sparassis crispa to better grow and have higher yield.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method for acclimatizing a propionic acid methane production biological membrane by use of a conductive carrier. In the method, a conductive carrier is arranged in an anaerobic fermentation system, propionic acid and sodium propionate are adopted as carbon sources while biogas fermentation liquid as inoculum, organic load is stepwise increased to 3.0g/L, and a methane production biological membrane of which organic load is greater than 3.0g/L and theoretical methane yield is greater than 70% is obtained by stepwise increasing the molar ratio of propionic acid to sodium propionate to 4; by applying the methane production biological membrane to the anaerobic fermentation system, the thermodynamic limitation caused by the factors such as hydrogen partial pressure can be removed, the propionic acid degradation efficiency is effectively improved, the fermentation inhibition caused by propionic acid accumulation is effectively relieved, the stability of the anaerobic fermentation system is enhanced, the anaerobic fermentation efficiency is improved, the rancidification rate of anaerobic fermentation is lowered, the gas yield is 75% of theoretical yield, and the utilization rate of propionic acid and acetic acid is greater than 90%.

The compound liquid preservative consists of the following components in parts by weight: 1.2-1.5 parts of diszolidinyl urea, 1.1-1.3 parts of methyl paraben, 0.2-0.5 part of propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, 0.8-1.3 parts of propylene glycol and 0.5-0.8 part of sodium propionate. The compound liquid preservative for the cosmetics provided by the invention is prepared from the diszolidinyl urea, the methyl paraben, the propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, the propylene glycol and the sodium propionate which can take a good synergistic effect, so that a preservative effect is enhanced, solubility is improved and an excellent antibacterial performance is guaranteed, and the compound liquid preservative is suitable for popularization and application.

With the key technology of containing of the sodium lauroyl sarcosine salt and the cocoamido sodium propionate, 0.1-3 parts by weight of sodium carboxymethylcellulose and 0.1-1 part by weight of polyvinylpyrrolidone are placed into 65-85 parts by weight of water to be stirred and dissolved at the temperature of 60-70 DEG C, 0.1-5 parts by weight of laureths-9 is added and dissolved, then 3-15 parts by weight of sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, 0.1-6 parts by weight of cocamidopropyl betaine, 3-15 parts by weight of cocoamido sodium propionate, 0.1-4 parts by weight of C8-18 alkyl glucoside and 0.1-2 parts by weight of trisodium citrate are added sequentially and are dissolved completely, then the temperature is decreased to 45 DEG C or below, pH is adjusted to 6-10 through citric acid, kathon, brilliant blue, propylene glycol and fragrance are added, and the laundry detergent is obtained through even stirring. The laundry detergent is used for washing clothes and is high in surface activity, environmentally friendly and stable and reliable in effect.

Abstract: The aim of this study was the indication of an additive for the ensilage of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.). In a laboratory trial, nine treatments were applied (g of additive/kg of fresh forage - FF) to the sugarcane (RB867515), before ensiling in minisilos (15 x 30 cm PVC tubes) during 78 days: untreated; urea (5) + sodium benzoate (0.5); urea (7.5) + benzoate (0.5); urea (5) + benzoate (0.75); urea (7.5) + benzoate (0.75); sodium propionate (1, 2 and 4); calcium hydroxide (10). Urea + benzoate in the lowest doses, propionate in the higher concentration and calcium hydroxide were selected, considering the ethanol content (26.5, 27.2 and 7.4 g/kg DM, respectively), total DM loss (88, 46 and 58 g/kg DM, respectively) and digestibility (541, 496 and 516 g/kg DM, respectively) of the silages. Silages treated with these doses of additives and the untreated silage (80 d of storage) were fed (nine + seven d) to 16 castrated male sheep (Santa Ines) housed in metabolic cages. The silage with calcium hydroxide presented coefficients of apparent digestibility of DM (0.44), of NDF (0.4) and DM intake (20 g/kg live weight) in the higher levels. Calcium hydroxide was superior to propionate and urea + benzoate, considering alcoholic fermentation control and reduction of losses in the silage and the forage’s nutritional value.

The propanoic acid methanogen system comprises a propanoic acid oxidation bacteria colony, a syntrophism propanoic acid oxidation colony, an acetic acid cracking methanogen colony and a hydrogen nutrition-type methanogen colony. The method includes that biogas fermentation liquid is used as an inoculum, sodium propionate is used as a carbon source, a biomass material is used as an adhesion carrier, and the biogas fermentation liquid is domesticated by means of stepwise increasing concentration of sodium propionate in a culture medium to obtain the efficient propanoic acid methanogen system. The efficient propanoic acid methanogen system obtained by the method has the advantages of high impact resistance and high biological strengthening effect stability, is used for improving biogas fermentation performance and can be efficiently utilized stably for a long time when concentration of propanoic acid is higher than 3.0g/L, gas generation rate is 75% of theoretical yield, and utilization rate of propanoic acid and acetic acid is higher than 90%.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for promoting the starting of an anaerobic digestor and accelerating the conversion of propionic acid into methane. The method comprises the steps of preparing compound bacteria, adding a solid carrier into the compound bacteria in a mass percentage of 1%-20%, inoculating the compound bacteria into a sterile anaerobic BCTY culture medium containing 1500ppm-10000ppm of sodium propionate, and carrying out anaerobic standing culturing at 40 DEG C, wherein the pH value of the sterile anaerobic BCTY culture medium is 7.5-8.5. By virtue of the method, the degradation rate of propionic acid can be substantially increased, and the time required for the complete degradation of propionic acid can be substantially shortened; the operation efficiency of the metabolic conversion of propionic acid into methane is remarkably promoted; and the transport metabolism of H2 in an anaerobic digestion system can be effectively promoted, so that the anaerobic digestion system is maintained at a relatively low hydrogen partial pressure state, is relatively stable and has relatively strong inversion resistance, and the operation load is substantially improved.

The preparation method comprises the steps of (1) adding 50 to 60 g of sulfydryl sodium propionate into 200 to 250 ml of a sodium nitrite solution of which the volume concentration is 10%, heating a mixture of sulfydryl sodium propionate and the sodium nitrite solution to 70 to 75 DEG C to dissolve the mixture, keeping the constant temperature for 1.5 to 2 hours, cooling to 20 to 25 DEG C, slowly adding 25 to 30 ml of a mimosa extract solution of which the mass concentration is 15% at the temperature, and uniformly stirring to obtain a product 1; and (2) preparing 50 to 55 g of sodium nitroprusside and 200 to 220 ml of sodium sulfide of which the concentration is 10% into a solution, coupling the solution with the product 1 under the pressure of 3 to 5 MPa to obtain a product 2, and coupling the product 2 with acid black under the pressure of 3 to 4 MPa to obtain brownish black powder which is soluble in water, namely, the inhibitor. According to the invention, the inhibitor can exert a quite good inhibiting effect on potassium feldspar mineral and does not exert an inhibiting effect on iron-bearing minerals, the dosage of the inhibitor is small, and the inhibitor is nontoxic and pollution-free.

The method sequentially comprises the following steps: adding hydrotalcite passing through a sieve with the granularity of 20-50 meshes into a 2,2-dimethyl sodium propionate solution with the mass percentage concentration of 0.1-1% according to an amount that hydrotalcite per gram corresponds to 1-1.5mmol of 2,2-dimethyl sodium propionate; stirring in a constant temperature water bath at the temperature of 60-70 DEG C for 5-6 hours, ageing for 12-24 hours, performing solid-liquid separation, washing the precipitates for 2-3 times by using deionized water, and drying, thereby obtaining 2,2-dimethyl sodium propionate modified hydrotalcite; adding the obtained 2,2-dimethyl sodium propionate modified hydrotalcite into a vacuum tube furnace, heating to the temperature of 400-600 DEG C under vacuum conditions, performing vacuum calcinations for 2-4 hours, and cooling to room temperature; and adding the calcined powder into 20-40% of a hydrochloric acid solution in an amount that the powder per gram corresponds to 10-15ml of hydrochloric acid, stirring under nitrogen protection for 3-4 hours, and performing high speed centrifugation after hydrotalcite layers are totally dissolved, thereby obtaining the carbon quantum dots. The method disclosed by the invention is simple in materials and mild in conditions.

According to the crystal form and the preparation method, the preparation technology is simple in process, and the acquired crystal form is high in purity, good in stability and excellent in performance on the aspect of uric acid excretion and can be used for preparing a drug for treating hyperuricemia.
