TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe adhesive compositions comprising copolymers of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate and starch derivatives in a weight ratio of 1:99 to 99:1 on a dry basis.
Abstract: Adhesive compositions comprise a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate and starch or a starch derivative in a weight ratio of 1:99 to 99:1 on a dry basis. The composition may be in the form of a water-soluble dry-blended powder, or may be dissolved in an aqueous medium. The copolymer preferably contains less than 80 weight per cent of vinyl pyrrolidone units, and the copolymer may comprise 1 to 99 weight per cent of the solids. Specified starch derivatives are corn, waxy maize and tapioca starch dextrins. The compositions may also comprise plasticizers, e.g. polyethylene glycol, glycerol, phenol-ethylene oxide condensates and acetyl tributyl citrate; sodium tetraborate and mould growth inhibitors, e.g. sodium propionate and sorbic acid. Examples describe adhesive compositions comprising copolymers of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate and (1) corn dextrin, (2, 4 and 5) corn dextrin and sodium tetraborate, and (3) tapioca dextrin.

TL;DR: In this article, a powdery sodium carbonate of agitated state is quickly added with about equivalent amount of liquid propionic acid, and the mixture is left standing for 20min-1hr until the conversion reaches 85-95%, when the system is agitated again to complete the reaction.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound in powdery state remarkably decreasing mechanical load, by quickly adding about equivalent amount of liquid propionic acid to powdery sodium carbonate under agitation, stirring the mixture for a short time in the mixing operation, leaving the mixture and again mixing the product. CONSTITUTION:Powdery sodium carbonate of agitated state is quickly added with about equivalent amount of liquid propionic acid preferably within 5min and preliminarily mixed for several minutes at room temperature - 140 deg.C, preferably room temperature - 100 deg.C. The mixture is left standing for 20min-1 hr until the conversion reaches 85-95%, when the system is agitated again to complete the reaction. When the conversion reaches >=97%, the mixture is successively dried to remove water produced by the reaction and obtain dried powdery sodium propionate. EFFECT:The process has remarkable industrial advantages such as the elimination of the agitation of bituminous mixture which has been unavoidable in conventional process, the use of a simple apparatus such as a ribbon blender as a reactor, etc.

TL;DR: Utilizing sodium [1−14C]propionate as a precursor, [14C]-FK-506, labeled at carbon atoms 10, 16, 18, 21a, 24, and 26, was produced by fermentative biosynthesis, providing material of purity suitable for metabolism studies.
Abstract: Utilizing sodium [1−14C]propionate as a precursor, [14C]FK-506, labeled at carbon atoms 10, 16, 18, 21a, 24, and 26, was produced by fermentative biosynthesis. Extractive isolation followed by chromatographic purification provided material of purity suitable for metabolism studies.

TL;DR: In this article, a natural antimicrobial composition containing carvacrol, thymol and citral as an effective ingredient is provided, which has an antimicrobial effect on bacteria and thus is useful for treatment and prevention of bacterial diarrhea, bronchial pneumonia or mastitis.
Abstract: PURPOSE: A natural antimicrobial composition containing carvacrol, thymol and citral as an effective ingredient is provided. It has an antimicrobial effect on bacteria and thus is useful for treatment and prevention of bacterial diarrhea, bronchial pneumonia or mastitis of animals. CONSTITUTION: The natural antimicrobial composition contains carvacrol, thymol and citral in a weight ratio of 1.0:0.2 to 0.8:0.1 to 0.2 and as an auxiliary component at least one selected from 0.01 to 1% by weight of sodium benzoate, 0.1 to 1.0% by weight of allantoin, 0.1 to 1% by weight of sodium propionate, 0.005 to 0.5% by weight of dexamethasone sodium phosphate, 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of tripelenamine hydrochloride, 1 to 10% by weight of brine and 1 to 10% by weight of propylene glycol.
