TL;DR: In this paper, a method for separating hydrogen sulfide gas, either from cooking liquor or from various points in the recovery system, to provide a source of sulfide sulfur which is oxidized to sulfur is described.
Abstract: Recovery of chemicals from a sodium sulfide containing pulping liquor which is cycled from a digester through a recovery system is effected by separating hydrogen sulfide gas, either from the cooking liquor or from various points in the recovery system, to provide a source of sulfide sulfur which is oxidized to sulfur When separated from the cooking liquor, it is preferred that the hydrogen sulfide gas be taken from the black liquor, prior to combustion, so as to reduce the sulfidity of the liquor being burned and thereby to reduce sulfur losses in the combustion furnace and effect reduction of sulfur pollutants Oxidation of the hydrogen sulfide gas is carried out in an aqueous medium, in the presence of a wetproofed catalyst and using air or other oxygen containing gas as the oxidant Sour hydrocarbon gases containing hydrogen sulfide gas may also be processed in accordance with this invention to convert the sulfide sulfur to products such as elemental sulfur, sodium polysulfide and the like

TL;DR: In this article, the SODIUM SULFIDE PRECIPITATE with HYDROCHLORIC ACID was used to produce SODUM CHLORIDE.
Abstract: AN INTEGRATED PROCESS FOR THE DESULFURIZATION OF CRUDE OIL OR SIMILAR VIRGIN HYDROCARBON FRACTIONS WHEREIN A DISPERSION OF METALLIC SODIUM IS EMPLOYED TO REACT WITH THE SULFUR CONTAMINANTS PRESENT WITHIN SUCH CRUDE OIL TO FORM A SODIUM SULFIDE PRECIPITATE ELIMINATED FROM THE TREATED CRUDE THROUGH CENTRIFUGATION THE INTEGRATED SYSTEM IS PROVIDED BY REACTING THE SODIUM SULFIDE PREDIPITATE WITH HYDROCHLORIC ACID TO PRODUCE SODIUM CHLORIDE WHICH AFTER RECLAMATION CAN BE EMPLOYED THROUGH ELECTROLYSIS TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY SODIUM FOR DESULFURIZATION OF THE CRUDE OIL

TL;DR: In this paper, a copolymer with anhydrous sodium sulfide in N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) at 250°C to insoluble products which contain structural fragments derived from both the starting thiophene and the NMP was presented.
Abstract: 2,5-Dichlorothiophene, 2,5-dibromothiophene, and tetrabromothiophene have been polymerized with anhydrous sodium sulfide in N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) at 250°C to insoluble products which contain structural fragments derived from both the starting thiophene and the NMP. The copolymers absorb 0.5 to 1.0 times their weights of iodine to give materials with electrical conductivities of about 10-5 (ohm cm)-1 at 16 kbar and 10-7 (ohm cm)-1 at atmospheric pressure.

TL;DR: In this paper, the method for preparing nanometer material by using solid phase chemical reaction is characterized by grinding solid metallic salt together with sodium hydroxide, sodium sulfide and sodium halide to obtain the nanometer-level oxide, sulfide, halide, oxalate and oxinate.
Abstract: The method for preparing nanometer material by using solid phase chemical reaction is characterized by grinding solid metallic salt together with sodium hydroxide, sodium sulfide, sodium halide, oxalic acid and 8-hydroxyquinoline to obtain the nanometer-level oxide, sulfide, halide, oxalate and oxinate. said invented method is simple and convenient for operation, and its particle grain size is uniform.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to preferentially precipitate and recover Ni and Co at high yields by adding an alkali sulfide compd to an acid soln by leaching Ni- and Co-contg raw materials with a mineral acid to precipitate them and form the Ni andCo as sulfides.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To preferentially precipitate and recover Ni and Co at high yields by adding an alkali sulfide compd to an acid soln obtd by leaching Ni- and Co-contg raw materials with a mineral acid to precipitate and form the Ni and Co as sulfides CONSTITUTION:The ore oxide, waste media and other raw materials in which the Ni and Co coexist are treated with the mineral acids, such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, to prepare an acid aq soln of pH >15 in which the Ni and Co or further, simultaneously contained components, such as Fe, Al, Mn, Mg and Cr, are acid-leached After this aq acid soln is heated to and held at <=100 degC, the alkali sulfide compd, such as sodium sulfide or sodium hydrosulfide, is added thereto at 11 to 13 times the theoretical equiv for formation of NiS and CoS to effect reaction for 5 to 60 minutes The Ni and Co are preferentially deposited and precipitated as NiS and CoS and are filtered The Ni and Co are thus recovered in the form of the sulfides at the good yields
