TL;DR: In this article, a new method for producing sodium sulfite and sodium sulfide by using sulfur alkali reduced waste water was proposed, which includes the following steps: using SAL as mother liquor, vacuum evaporation of mother liquor water, vacuum concentrating desalted or saltless mother liquid water, heating concentrating or evaporating the residual solution, and further vacuum evaporating said saturated solution whose residue is removed so as to obtain white anhydrous sodium sulphite.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new method for producing sodium sulfite and sodium sulfide by using sulfur alkali reduced waste water. Said method includes the following steps: using sulfur alkali reduced waste water as mother liquor, vacuum evaporating mother liquor water, vacuum concentrating desalted or saltless mother liquor water to obtain the mixture of sodium sulfite and sodium sulfide; preparing saturated solution of said mixture; using active carbon to make adsorption and decolouring, press-filtering and removing residue; further vacuum evaporating said saturated solution whose residue is removed so as to obtain white anhydrous sodium sulfite; heating concentrating or evaporating the residual solution so as to obtain sodium sulfide.

TL;DR: In this paper, reducing agents, such as sodium thioglycolate, potassium thioglobalate, cysteine-hydrochloate, sodium sulfide, potassium sulfide and ascorbic acid, were charged into the gel base material to stably fix the anaerobic bacteria while holding the same or the reducing agents are charged into a solidifying liquid or washing liquid when the solidification liquid is required for gelatinization or when washing is required.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To stably fix anaerobic bacteria while maintaining activity by removing the dissolved oxygen in a gel base material or lowering an oxidation reduction potential. CONSTITUTION: Reducing agents, such as sodium thioglycolate, potassium thioglycolate, cysteine-hydrochloate, sodium sulfide, potassium sulfide, ascorbic acid, sodium sulfite, and sodium hydrogensilfite are charged into the gel base material to stably fix the anaerobic bacteria while holding the same or the reducing agents are charged into a solidifying liquid or washing liquid when the solidifying liquid is required for gelatinization or when washing is required. The dissolved oxygen is decreased to ≤0.1ppm or the oxidation reduction potential is lowered to ≤0mV by charging of the reducing agents in such a manner. Further, the atmosphere is substd. with nitrogen, helium, argon, carbon dioxide, etc., under the perfect anaerobic condition. The utilization to a methane fermentation treatment, etc., is possible and the industrial value is extremely high. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of investigations into the completeness of the sulfite-thiosulfate dissolution of noble metals depending on the conditions of the autoclave opening (AO) of flotation concentrates under various leaching conditions (the reagent concentration and the influence of various additions) are described.
Abstract: The results of investigations into the completeness of the sulfite-thiosulfate dissolution of noble metals depending on the conditions of the autoclave opening (AO) of flotation concentrates under various leaching conditions (the reagent concentration and the influence of various additions) are described. The necessity of carrying out the AO process with the complete maximum recovery using cyanidation is shown allowing for the factors that increase the content of elemental sulfur in the AO cake.
