TL;DR: In this paper, a user of a local computer requests that a remote computer run a software function of an application program by sending the request along with a license proof demonstrating that the local computer is authorized to run the software function using their respective license management software.
Abstract: A user of a local computer requests that a remote computer run a software function of an application program by sending the request along with a license proof demonstrating that the local computer is authorized to run the software function using their respective license management software. Upon verifying the source, confirming that it has the right to run the software function, and verifying that the request is timely made, the license management software on the remote computer allows a user on that computer to run the software function as requested.

TL;DR: In this article, a method and a device for transforming an existing Web application into a SaaS (Software as a Service) multi-tenant application is presented, which consists of an isolation module, a tenant-partition mapping table, and a tenant on line manager.
Abstract: The invention discloses a method and a device for transforming an existing Web application into a SaaS (Software as a Service) multi-tenant application. The device comprises an isolation module, a tenant-partition mapping table, a tenant on line manager, a tenant context binding module and a tenant request router. The isolation module is used for setting an isolation point in the Web application and establishing Web application object partitions; the tenant-partition mapping table is used for managing the relation between the tenants and corresponding Web application object partitions; the tenant on line manager is used for establishing a new partition for a new tenant and registering the new partition in the tenant-partition mapping table; the tenant context binding module is used for binding one request to one tenant and establishing the tenant context; and the tenant request router is used for obtaining tenant information from the tenant context and inquiring the tenant-partition table to forward the request to a correct partition for processing. According to the method and the device, an interlayer is added on the existing Web application, so that the Web application can be transformed into the SaaS multi-tenant application without executing code-level modification on the existing Web application.

TL;DR: In this article, a model-driven architecture for a cyberphysical software application development platform based upon a model driven architecture and derivative IoT SaaS applications is described. But, the authors do not specify the architecture of the system.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for a cyberphysical (IoT) software application development platform based upon a model driven architecture and derivative IoT SaaS applications are disclosed herein. The system may include concentrators to receive and forward time-series data from sensors or smart devices. The system may include message decoders to receive messages comprising the time-series data and storing the messages on message queues. The system may include a persistence component to store the time-series data in a key-value store and store the relational data in a relational database. The system may include a data services component to implement a type layer over data stores. The system may also include a processing component to access and process data in the data stores via the type layer, the processing component comprising a batch processing component and an iterative processing component.

TL;DR: Load balancing mechanism in cloud computing helps clouds to increase their capability which results in powerful, reliable and efficient clouds.
Abstract: Clouds are highly configured infrastructures that deliver platform and software as service, which helps users to make subscription for their requirements. Cloud computing is expanding globally, because of its simple service oriented model. The numbers of users using the cloud are increasing day by day. The cloud is based on data centers generally that are very powerful in handling such large number of users accessing data. The reliability of clouds depends on how the loads are being handled; clouds must be featured with some _mechanism to overcome such problems. Load Balancing is a mechanism of reassigning the total load to the individual nodes to achieve effective resource utilization and to improve the response time of the job, and also to remove a condition in which some of the nodes of the system are over loaded while the others are under loaded. Load balancing mechanism in cloud computing helps clouds to increase their capability which results in powerful, reliable and efficient clouds. This paper is a brief discussion on load balancing on cloud model.

TL;DR: The conceptual architecture of a SaaS platform that enables executing of configurable and multitenant SAAS application is proposed and metadata driven architecture proposed by Force.com is applied to satisfy multitenancy of Saas application.
Abstract: In this paper, the conceptual architecture of a SaaS platform that enables executing of configurable and multitenant SaaS application is proposed. Even though most of organizations utilize a standardized SaaS application developed by a SaaS developer, each of tenants would have unique requirements regarding service components. The platform provides several features for configuring these aspects of SaaS software such as organizational structure (role sets and access control), user interface, data model, workflow, and business logic. To satisfy multitenancy of SaaS application, we applied metadata driven architecture proposed by Force.com. The target SaaS platform is composed of the key components that supports SaaS Application execution environment that serves multiple tenant using a single service instance. An example scenario of SaaS software lifecycle is also described to explain how the target platform would be operated from development and deployment of SaaS application to configuration by tenants.
