TL;DR: A comprehensiveSoftware defined based framework model is proposed to simplify the IoT management process and provide a vital solution for the challenges in the traditional IoT architecture to forward, store, and secure the produced data from the IoT objects by integrating the software defined network, software defined storage, and software defined security into one software defined based control model.
Abstract: The internet of things (IoT) represent the current and future state of the Internet. The large number of things (objects), which are connected to the Internet, produce a huge amount of data that needs a lot of effort and processing operations to transfer it to useful information. Moreover, the organization and control of this large volume of data requires novel ideas in the design and management of the IoT network to accelerate and enhance its performance. The software defined systems is a new paradigm that appeared recently to hide all complexity in traditional system architecture by abstracting all the controls and management operations from the underling devices (things in the IoT) and setting them inside a middleware layer, a software layer. In this work, a comprehensive software defined based framework model is proposed to simplify the IoT management process and provide a vital solution for the challenges in the traditional IoT architecture to forward, store, and secure the produced data from the IoT objects by integrating the software defined network, software defined storage, and software defined security into one software defined based control model.

TL;DR: In this article, a computer system that utilizes client/server software to allow users of the client software to log into a server and publish information about a product or service is described.
Abstract: A computer system that utilizes client/server software to allow users of the client software to log into a server and publish information about a product or service. Once the information is published, other users of the client software may log into the server to browse or search for the information. This system is designed to help extractors and manufacturers of products, as well as service providers, to advertise their product or service to other extractors, manufacturers, service providers, distributors, retailers or other consumers to help aid in the distribution of those products or services. The system is also designed to help reach these establishments over a wide area, limited only by communication networks, and the system is kept current through the use of the established users of the client allowing rapid change.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a system and method for facilitating the selection and implementation of software updates while minimizing the bandwidth and processing resources required to select and implement the software updates.
Abstract: A system (100) and method for facilitating the selection and implementation of software updates while minimizing the bandwidth and processing resources required to select and implement the software updates. In one embodiment, an update service (120) controls access to software updates, or other types of software, stored on a server (121).

TL;DR: SaaS-Qual is developed, refine, and test, a zones-of-tolerance (ZOT)-based service quality measurement instrument specifically for SaaS solutions that demonstrates strong psychometric properties and shows high nomological validity within a framework that predicts the continued use of SAAS solutions by existing customers.
Abstract: Despite the need to better understand how customers of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions perceive the quality of these software services and how these perceptions influence SaaS adoption and use, there is no extant measure that comprehensively captures service quality evaluations in SaaS. Based on previous SERVQUAL and SaaS literature, field interviews and focus groups, a card-sorting exercise, and two surveys of SaaS using companies, we develop, refine, and test SaaS-Qual, a zones-of-tolerance (ZOT)-based service quality measurement instrument specifically for SaaS solutions. Besides validating already established service quality dimensions (i.e., rapport, responsiveness, reliability, and features), we identify two new factors (i.e., security and flexibility) that are essential for the evaluation of service quality of SaaS solutions. SaaS-Qual demonstrates strong psychometric properties and shows high nomological validity within a framework that predicts the continued use of SaaS solutions by existing customers. In addition to developing a validated instrument that provides a fine-grained measurement of SaaS service quality, we also enrich existing research models on information systems continuance. Moreover, the SaaS-Qual instrument can be used as a diagnostic tool by SaaS providers and users alike to spot strengths and weaknesses in the service delivery of SaaS solutions.
