TL;DR: In this article, a constant amplitude controller with feedback control for a vibratory feeder apparatus is described, where a controlled rectifier is used to rectify the A.C. line voltage applied to the feeder solenoid and to control the voltage to the vibrator.
Abstract: There is disclosed a constant amplitude controller with feedback control for a vibratory feeder apparatus wherein a controlled rectifier is used to rectify the A.C. line voltage applied to the feeder solenoid and to control the voltage to the feeder solenoid. Triggering of the controlled rectifier is accomplished by a bias control signal which is composed of an A.C. phase shift voltage superpositioned by a variable D.C. bias voltage. Mechanical coupling is provided between the solenoid and a transducer which provides feedback to control logic circuitry. In the control logic circuitry, the signal received from the transducer is compared with a signal received from an operator adjusted potentiometer. In this manner, the desired amplitude of the vibrator apparatus is compared with the actual amplitude of the vibrator apparatus and, if there is a discrepancy, the control logic circuitry modifies the amount of control voltage being transferred by the controlled rectifier.

TL;DR: An articulated magnet assembly may include one or two additional fixed magnets to guide or move such as by pulling or pushing a magnetic structure in the body, such as a catheter or a magnetic seed.
Abstract: An articulated magnet assembly optionally includes one or two additional fixed magnets to guide or move such as by pulling or pushing a magnetic structure in the body. The magnetic structure may be a magnetic tip of a catheter or a magnetic seed, or other such magnetic assembly, implant or device. The device is arranged to facilitate biplanar, real-time, X-ray imaging of the patient. The moved magnet can be a large, strong permanent magnet or a cored solenoid. The added, fixed electromagnets may have either normally conducting or superconducting coils. The magnet on the articulated magnet assembly can move radially, along a polar direction, and at an azimuthal angle, and may also pivot in place to direct an opposite pole of the magnet in the direction of the patient. Magnetically-assisted surgery can be performed, in some instances, by pivoting the magnet on one or two axes without withdrawing it from the vicinity of the patient to control the direction and/or orientation of a temporarily or permanently implanted magnetic surgical device. If the magnet is an electromagnetic coil, this pivoting may or may not have to be accompanied by a ramping of current in the coil.

TL;DR: A rear view mirror mounted either interiorly or exteriorly of a vehicle which incorporates a unique structure providing an illuminated, feather touch, bar switch for actuating a solenoid to change the mirror from day-to-night and night-today positions by utilizing a single finger, feather-touch operation is described in this article.
Abstract: A rear view mirror mounted either interiorly or exteriorly of a vehicle which incorporates a unique structure providing an illuminated, feather-touch, bar switch for actuating a solenoid to change the mirror from day-to-night and night-to-day positions by utilizing a single finger, feather-touch operation. The mirror also includes a map light or lights located along the lower edge thereof with the map light or lights being actuated by a feather touch switch or switches and icluding a downwardly facing fresnel lens to direct a light beam for easy map reading and a shield or baffle to prevent light rays from entering the eyes of the vehicle operator. A mechanical memory switch and push/pull solenoid may be utilized as an alternative to magnetically latched solenoid and circuitry therewith.

TL;DR: In this paper, an electronic circuit responsive to the switch for energizing the solenoid to open the valve when the switch is closed and for deenergizing the Solenoid after a time interval is presented.
Abstract: For use in a combustion-powered, fastener-driving tool having a combustion chamber, a source of a combustible fuel, and a switch that must be closed to enable the tool, a fuel system comprises a fuel injector, which includes a normally closed, solenoid-energized valve between the fuel source and the combustion chamber, and an electronic circuit responsive to the switch for energizing the solenoid to open the valve when the switch is closed and for deenergizing the solenoid after a time interval. A resistive-capacitive network defining the time interval includes a first resistor, a second resistor arranged to be selectively connected in parallel therewith, a thermistor connected in parallel therewith, and a variable resistor connected to the parallel resistors. Another network effects a time delay between closure of the switch and energization of the solenoid. Optionally, another network varies the time interval in response to ambient pressure.
