TL;DR: In this article, a one shot timer circuit sends a predetermined timing signal to a first controller circuit interconnecting the one-shot timer circuit and the solenoid coil, wherein the predetermined timing signals are used to control the high side of the coil.
Abstract: An electronic fuel injector driver circuit is a high speed operator of electromagnetic fuel injector valves for internal combustion engine. The drive circuit includes a solenoid coil for each electromagnetic fuel injector. A one shot timer circuit sends a predetermined timing signal to a first controller circuit interconnecting the one shot timer circuit and the solenoid coil wherein the predetermined timing signal is used to control the high side of the solenoid coil. A second controller circuit is connected to the solenoid coil and controls the low side of the solenoid coil in response to the predetermined timing signal. A switchable voltage reference circuit is connected to the second controller circuit and controls current through the solenoid coil.

TL;DR: An electric starting system for cranking an internal combustion engine that utilizes a starter having a solenoid that is provided with pull-in and hold-in coils is described in this article.
Abstract: An electric starting system for cranking an internal combustion engine that utilizes a starter having a solenoid that is provided with pull-in and hold-in coils. The solenoid includes a plunger which when shifted operates solenoid switch contacts and shifts a pinion into mesh with the ring gear of the engine to be cranked. The electric starting motor has series and shunt field coils and during cranking operation the shunt field is energized through the hold-in coil of the solenoid and the series field is energized through the pull-in coil of the solenoid. This mode of energization produces a small indexing torque that slowly rotates the pinion when end tooth abutment occurs between the pinion and the ring gear.

TL;DR: In this paper, the fly-by-wire electro-hydraulic control mechanism was used to control the engagement and disengagement of the range clutches in both forward and reverse operation.
Abstract: The power transmission has a fly-by-wire electro-hydraulic control mechanism that controls the engagement and disengagement of the range clutches in both forward and reverse operation In forward operation, the control mechanism permits continued vehicle operation in the third forward range should electrical discontinuance occur during the first through fourth forward ranges, and in the fifth forward range should electrical discontinuance occur in the fifth or sixth forward range Also, the control mechanism includes two logic valves and a forward on/off solenoid valve that permits the logic valves to control three torque-transmitting mechanisms with the use of two trim solenoid valves
