TL;DR: In this article, a proportional electro-hydraulic pressure control valve incorporates a pressure sensor in its valve body and the hydraulic fluid pressure in a pressure detecting fluid path provided in the valve body is delivered as an electric signal output by the pressure sensor.
Abstract: A proportional electro-hydraulic pressure control valve incorporates a pressure sensor in its valve body and the hydraulic fluid pressure in a pressure detecting fluid path provided in the valve body is delivered as an electric signal output by the pressure sensor. The pressure detecting fluid path is connected to a hydraulic fluid inlet port directly or through a restrictor or alternately the fluid path is connected to a pressure detecting port separated from both of the hydraulic fluid inlet port and a hydraulic fluid outlet port. The electric signal output from the pressure sensor is utilized to provide a numerical display of the controlled pressure or to effect the feedback control of a solenoid drive current through a closed loop.

TL;DR: In this article, a large superconducting solenoid (5m bore, 7m length) has been designed and constructed at the CEN/Saclay for the ALEPH detector, to be installed on the LEP collider at CERN.
Abstract: A large superconducting solenoid (5-m bore, 7-m length) has been designed and constructed at the CEN/Saclay for the ALEPH detector, to be installed on the LEP collider at CERN. Special features of this solenoid are described such as the Al-stabilized superconducting cable, bobbinless internal winding, vacuum impregnation, indirect cooling, thermosyphon refrigeration mode, cryostat assembly. Preliminary tests without the iron carried out successfully in April 1987, and a complete test with the iron calorimeter at CERN in September 1987 are briefly reviewed. >

TL;DR: An electro-hydraulic control valve comprises a central body in which is formed a bore located within which is a valve member as mentioned in this paper, at least the end portions of the valve member are formed from magnetizable material.
Abstract: An electro-hydraulic control valve comprises a central body in which is formed a bore located within which is a valve member. At least the end portions of the valve member are formed from magnetizable material. The body carries solenoid devices disposed at the opposite ends of the bore so that when the one or the other device is energized the valve member is pulled towards the respective end of the bore.

TL;DR: In this article, a solenoid control means for controlling the movement of a regenerator-diacer in a cryogenic cooler is presented, which includes sensing and power switching means for activating solenoids that assist in moving or restraining the movement in synchronism with pressure waves from a compressor.
Abstract: A solenoid control means for controlling the movement of a regenerator-diacer in a cryogenic cooler. The control means comprises sensing and power switching means for activating solenoids that assist in moving or restraining the movement of the regenerator-displacer in synchronism with pressure waves from a compressor.

TL;DR: In this article, a high-bandwidth low-insertion loss solenoid transformers using a multilayered FeCoB magnetic core have been designed, modeled, fabricated, and characterized for high-frequency power conversion.
Abstract: High-bandwidth low-insertion loss solenoid transformers using a multilayered FeCoB magnetic core have been designed, modeled, fabricated, and characterized for high-frequency power conversion. Various transformer designs are compared in terms of inductance, resistance, quality factor, mutual coupling, and insertion loss. A mutual coupling coefficient of 0.9 up to 50 MHz is achieved for intertwined solenoid transformers with a patterned magnetic core.
