Abstract: A wind turbine rotor blade having a blade shell with a generally chordwise layup of fibre plies and a generally spanwise spar cap. A lightning conductor extends over the spar cap, and the spar cap includes conductive material. An equipotential bonding element electrically bonds the lightning conductor to the spar cap. The equipotential bonding element extends between an outboard edge of one stack of the fibre plies and an inboard edge of an adjacent stack of the fibre plies, which overlap to define an overlapping edge region.

Abstract: A wind turbine rotor blade comprises a root portion 15 located in a proximal region of the rotor blade and a tip portion 20 connected to the root portion and located in a distal region of the rotor blade. A spar 25 extends from the root portion to the tip portion. The spar is a unitary member at the root portion and separates into a primary spar 30 and a sub-spar 35, 40 towards the tip region. Each spar and sub-spar has a respective lifting surface associated therewith, each distinct from each other to provide multiple tip portions 50,55,60 which may be removable to assist manufacture, transport and installation. Multiple tips reduce the magnitude of and disrupt tip vortices and the branching nature of the spar allows tip loads to be distributed along the main spar.

Abstract: The utility model provides a spar connecting joint with a locking function. The spar connecting joint comprises a fixed section spar supporting seat, a movable section spar supporting seat, a lockingpipe clamp, a locking rotating rod, a locking rocker and a rocker lock catch assembly. The wing spar supporting seats are respectively arranged in the fixed section wing and the movable section wing;the main wing spar and the auxiliary wing spar are fixedly connected with the wing spar supporting seats in the fixed section wing; a locking pipe clamp is arranged on the wing spar supporting seat inthe movable section wing, and a rocker lock catch assembly is arranged on the fixed section wing spar supporting seat; the locking rotating rod is arranged on the locking pipe clamp, and the lockingrocker is arranged on the locking rotating rod. The locking rocker is rotated to drive the locking rotating rod, the locking pipe clamp can be pressed and locked, and the movable section and the fixedsection wing are locked and fastened. After the locking rocker is locked, the locking rotating rod can be prevented from loosening and rotating during flight, and firm locking between the movable section wing and the fixed section wing can be kept. The spar connecting joint has the advantages of light weight, small size, high connecting speed, simplicity in operation, reliability in connection and small influence on the flight performance of the unmanned aerial vehicle.
