Abstract: A new type of scrubbing system equipped with air-atomized spray nozzles, full cone type spray nozzles and the maze shape channels has been developed and the mass transfer mechanism to remove sub-micron particles is analyzed. There is a minimal time duration for the mixture of air and sprayed water droplets should remain in the scrubbing zone for the sub-micron particles and hydrogen fluoride (HF) gas to diffuse and be captured by water droplets. The grown water droplets enter the maze shape channels which have sharp corners and bends to eliminate the water droplets by collision with the walls. As a result of applying the developed design methodology, the sub-micron particle removal efficiencies of the scrubber are found to be above 99% for the particles of 0.5–1 μm, 96% for those of 0.3–0.5 μm, and 86% for those smaller than 0.3 μm in diameter under the optimum operating condition.

Abstract: The invention discloses a device and a method for removing various pollutants simultaneously by lime stone-gypsum wet process. The device comprises an absorption liquid seriflux pot, a booster fan, a spray tower and the like, strong oxidizing agent and efficient absorbent are mixed to prepare absorption liquid desulfurated by wet process, fume with motive power supplemented by the booster fan enters into the spray tower, the upper middle part of the spray tower is provided with 2-4 layers of spray layers for spraying the absorption liquid into the spray tower so that the absorption liquid and the fume contact well, and the absorption liquid in the liquid storing tank can be used circularly under the action of an absorption liquid circulation pump. The upper part of the spray layers is provided with a demister for removing the water vapor in the fume, and the fume demisted by the demister is exhausted from the top of the spray tower to be out of the chimney. The invention has the following advantages: 1) simultaneous removal of various pollutants can be realized by only one lime stone-gypsum process technology; 2) selectable oxidizing agent varieties are plentiful; and 3) the removal efficiency of the pollutants is high.

The equipment mainly consists of a storage water tank, a water-delivery pump, a heat exchanger, a plasma torch heater, the gasifier, the spray tower and other components. The process of the invention is easy to control, has low energy consumption and investment and high cold gas efficiency, and the produced synthesis gas has large heat value and does not contain tar and alkali metal compounds. The process is not only suitable for biomass gasification combined cycle generation but also suitable for producing biomass liquid fuels.

Abstract: An experiment is performed to investigate the effects of several key factors on the efficiency of ammonia desulphurization.The experimental results show that it is possible to improve the desulphurization efficiency by some ways,such as increasing the liquid-gas ratio and slurry pH value,lowering the flue gas temperature or its flow speed.Based on the two-film theory,a mathematical model for ammonia desulphurization in spray towers is established.With the analysis on the correlation between the mass transfer rate equation of SO2 and the spiral-type nozzle droplet diameter,this model is used to calculate the main factors affecting the desulphurization efficiency.The calculation results are consistent with experimental data.

Abstract: There have been a number of efforts to satisfy national emission regulations and reduce the amount of emitted air pollutants. There are several air pollution control devices, however, only wet scrubber is efficiently used to remove particulate matters and gaseous pollutants, even if it has minimum collection efficiency in the particle size range of . This study aimed to improve the collection efficiency of a spray tower type scrubber by introducing an electrospray system with two-flow nozzle. We found that the collection efficiency of a spray tower type scrubber was similar to that of a conventional wet scrubber. However, installation of an electrospray system in the scrubber resulted in drastic further improvement of collection efficiency comparing to that of a conventional scrubber, which is 26%, 35.2%, and 45.1% at the liquid to gas ratio of 0.26 and 19.9%, 35.1%, and 42.5% at 0.34 for the applied voltage of -30 kV, -35 kV, and -40 kV, respectively. Therefore, we found that the introduction of an electrospray system is very effective to improve the collection efficiency of a spray tower type scrubber.

Abstract: Numerical simulation of the internal flow field in wet desulfurization spray tower is studied by a software Fluent with k-e turbulence model and DPM model. The paper has observed the internal flow with the liquid distribution ring installed in different locations under different operating conditions. The simulation result shows that it is favorable for strengthening the role of gas-liquid mass transfer to install the liquid distribution rings in the two different locations, which improves the uneven distribution of gas velocity, besides, when spray is introduced, which obtains more uniform for gas-liquid ratio and higher desulfurization efficiency.

The device comprises an atomization cooling device, an electrostatic enhancing reactor, a Venturi device, a double-circulation integrated absorption tower for various pollutants, and a wet-type electrostatic demister; flue gas is cooled by the atomization cooling device, then enters the electrostatic enhancing reactor and subsequently is subjected to corona treatment in a corona discharge zone formed in the electrostatic enhancing reactor; the treated flue gas enters the double-circulation integrated absorption tower for various pollutants; and after spraying dedusting and spraying absorption in the absorption tower, the purified flue gas enters a corrugated plate demister and an electrostatic demister at the upper part of a spray tower in sequence, thus removing aerosol in the flue gas. The device has the advantages of: 1) realizing the simultaneous removal of various pollutants and simultaneously effectively controlling the pollution of fine particles and aerosol; 2) being capable of achieving relatively high removal efficiency of various pollutants; and 3) removing and absorbing side products, without causing secondary pollution to environment.

The structure comprises a special-shaped highly effective heat circulating fan, a spray tower heat supply hot air furnace, a kiln residual heat smoke entering combustion supporting fan passage and a spray tower heat supply hot air furnace ring-shaped heat distributing pipeline, wherein the kiln residual heat smoke entering combustion supporting fan passage connected with the special-shaped highly effective heat circulating fan is connected with the spray tower through the spray tower heat supply hot air furnace ring-shaped heat distributing pipeline, and the spray tower heat supply hot air furnace is connected with the spray tower through a spray tower pipeline. The energy-saving system achieves the effect of saving energy consumption of the hot air furnace through connecting waste residual heat of the kiln into a combustion supporting fan through a pipeline for supporting consumption of the hot air furnace and utilizing a hot air furnace air distribution port to assemble hot air, the energy-saving effect is not lower than 20%, and only the combustion supporting fan of original hot air furnace should be replaced into highly effectively energy-saving heat circulation fans, and corresponding pipelines need increasing.

The desulfurization spray tower comprises a tower top and a tower body, wherein the top of the desulfurization spray tower is provided with a smoke outlet; an access port is reserved on one side at the top of the desulfurization spray tower; a smoke inlet is arranged on one side on the lower part of the desulfurization spray tower; the bottom of the desulfurization spray tower is provided with an overflow port; an anti-flushing device, a demisting device, a spraying device and an air flow distributing device are arranged in the desulfurization spray tower from the top to the bottom in turn; and a granite lining is paved on the inner wall of the desulfurization spray tower. The desulfurization spray tower has a simple structure, increases the spray range of spray equipment, improves the work efficiency of a desulfurization tower, reduces the resistance of desulfurization equipment per se, ensures normal operation of production on the premise of not replacing a boiler fan, saves the cost for replacing the fan and prolongs the service life of the desulfurization equipment.
