Abstract: This study outlines a volatile organic compounds (VOCs) removal spray tower consisting of an empty cylindrical vessel and nozzles spraying an oil/water emulsion into the vessel. Spraying an emulsion into a spray tower absorbs both lipophilic and hydrophilic compounds, facilitates oil transport, improves the interfacial area (oil coats water droplets) and increases the turbulent flow regime enhancing mass transfer. Toluene was chosen as the synthetic lipophilic pollutant. The choice of the organic absorbent, silicone oil (47v350 Rhordorsil ® ), was made by considering several properties: thermal and mechanical stability, non-biodegradable nature, insolubility in water and low value of Henry's constant. Gas–liquid mass transfer and the hydrodynamics of the gas–liquid contactor were thoroughly investigated. It was observed that emulsion spraying allowed the dual absorption of hydro- and lipophylic VOCs (efficiency around 90% for both) and strongly enhanced the liquid mass transfer coefficient. Finally, a model describing the efficiency of the process as a function of time was developed. The predicted values are in good agreement with the experimental results.

Abstract: The invention discloses a tail gas purification method and device for thermal desorption of organic contaminated soil. A cyclone dust collector and a spray tower are used for carrying out dedusting and spraying treatment on tail gas in sequence, and sprayed tail gas is subjected to defoaming, drying, activated carbon adsorption and the like, and then is emitted after reaching the standard after being combusted; spray liquid flows out from the lower end of the spray tower and is subjected to sedimentation treatment, and middle-layer liquid after sedimentation is filtered and then is directly used as liquid for spraying; most organic pollutants in waste water can be removed by the upper-layer liquid and the lower-layer liquid after standing sedimentation by virtue of a chemical oxidation reaction tank, and then residual organic pollutants can be removed through the manners of filter pressing, filtering, activated carbon adsorption and the like. According to the invention, for the sprayed waste liquid, degradation of the organic pollutants can be realized by the chemical oxidation effect, the organic pollutants can be removed in real sense instead of transfer of the organic pollutants, production of dangerous wastes in the process is reduced, and the tail gas purification method and device have the dual benefits of reducing disposal cost and environment risks.

Abstract: The invention relates to air pollution control, and provides an industrial flue gas desulfurization/denitrification/dedusting integrated technique. Ozone and ammonia water are adopted to form the technique composed of at least three circulating spray stages in the spray tower, thereby synchronously removing nitrogen and sulfur compounds in the flue gas. The invention also provides an industrial flue gas desulfurization/denitrification/dedusting integrated device which is applied to the technique. In the technique, the ozone with strong oxidizing property is utilized to convert nitrogen monoxide in the flue gas into nitrogen dioxide, and the spray tower is divided into at least three stages to perform the circulating spray by using the ammonia water. The whole technical process has very high utilization ratio for ammonia water, and can synchronously implement desulfurization and denitrification at higher efficiency. The flue gas carries the solution with very low concentration, can not generate the phenomenon of white smoke, and can completely satisfy the national discharge standard. The device applied to the technique has the advantages of simpler structure, smaller occupied area and lower investment cost.

The process method mainly comprises the steps that high-concentration SO2 smoke enters from a first-stage tower segment of a multi-stage spray tower, manganese ore pulp liquid enters from a last-stage tower segment of the multi-stage spray tower, in each-stage tower segment, the smoke enters from the lower portion of the tower segment to be subjected to a contact reaction with the manganese ore pulp liquid sprayed down from the top, and a proper amount of air is blown into the tower bottom to reinforce desulfuration and leaching of manganese. The manganese ore pulp liquid subjected to full leaching is finally discharged out of the first-stage tower segment, a manganese sulfate solution product is obtained, the fully-desulfurated smoke is exhausted out of the last-stage tower segment, the content of SO2 reaches the standard, and the smoke is directly exhausted into air. The smoke with unqualified SO2 content enters a deep desulfurization tower, and SO2 in gas continues to be removed till the content of SO2 reaches the standard. The operating temperature of the contact reaction ranges from 70 DEG C to 85 DEG C, and pH ranges from 2 to 3. The method has the advantages of being high in resource utilization rate, high in desulfuration efficiency, high in manganese leaching rate, high in adaptability to manganese oxide ore, low in cost and the like.

The invention provides the technique for promoting the desulfurization effect under various conditions by primarily cleaning through a Venturi tube, separating through a solid settling tank, washing through a countercurrent spray tower, performing airing oxidation, removing grains through a whirlcone and adding an alkali liquor. The technique has the advantages that the desulfurization efficiency is high, the structure is simple, the cost is low, the improvement cost is low, the ship space is saved, and the desulfurization effect can be achieved when the technique is applied to the seawater and fresh water dual-purpose ship. In a small-size device test, the SO2 removal rate of the technical system can reach 90% or more and fully meets the strictest emission standard for the content of sulphur in fuel oil of world sailing ships described in the supplementary article VI of convention MARPOL73/78 established by the International Maritime Organization.

Abstract: The invention discloses wet oxidation desulfurization method and device capable of removing hydrogen sulfide pollutants generated by a biochemical pool and the like. The wet oxidation desulfurization method disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: (1) supercharging an ozone gas through a compressor, and supercharging a hydrogen peroxide solution through a booster pump; (2) mixing the supercharged ozone gas with hydrogen peroxide and then atomizing through an ejector; (3) spraying an odor gas containing hydrogen sulfide into a mixing pipe, simultaneously, spraying the atomized ozone gas and hydrogen peroxide mixture into the mixing pipe and mixing the mixture with the odor gas containing hydrogen sulfide; and (4) introducing a mixture of the odor gas containing hydrogen sulfide, the ozone gas and hydrogen peroxide into a spray tower for spraying through the mixing pipe. According to the wet oxidation desulfurization method, green and pollution-free ozone and hydrogen peroxide free of alkali are adopted as oxidants, and hydrogen sulfide can be oxidized into elemental sulfur by the oxidants, so that cyclic utilization of a sulfur element can be achieved, a by-product polluting the environment is not generated in the overall desulfurization process, and no brine waste is generated after the spray tower is washed.
