TL;DR: In this paper, a fluidized spray vessel was designed for recovering heat from gaseous heat streams, where liquid is sprayed through nozzles designed to provide a mean droplet size having a terminal velocity of from about sixty percent to about ninety five percent of the superficial upward gas velocity.
Abstract: A fluidized spray vessel. A vessel design is provided for recovering heat from gaseous heat streams. The vessel utilizes a semi-fluidized bed for obtaining desirable liquid/vapor contact times. A spray section is provided in which liquid is sprayed through nozzles designed to provide a mean droplet size having a terminal velocity of from about sixty percent to about ninety five percent of the superficial upward gas velocity. These spray tower design criteria enhance spray tower performance, and thus enables more efficient heat recovery to be practiced, particularly in systems where relatively low grade heat sources are encountered.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a spray tower consisting of a tower body and a partition plate with a plurality of air caps, each air cap comprises a cover which is in threaded connection to the partition plate and a cover cap which is inserted in the upper end of the cover and is rotatably connected to the cover.
Abstract: The invention relates to a waste gas treatment system. The waste gas treatment system comprises a spray tower, wherein the spray tower comprises a tower body; the side wall of the lower portion of thetower body communicates with an air inlet tube, the upper end of the tower body communicates with an air outlet tube, and the lower end of the tower body communicates with a liquid outlet tube; a plurality of layers of spray pipes are arranged inside the tower body along the height direction of the tower body; a partition plate is arranged in the tower body and positioned on a section between thespraying tube on the bottom layer and the air inlet tube; the partition plate communicates with a plurality of air caps; each air cap comprises a cover which is in threaded connection to the partition plate and a cover cap which is inserted in the upper end of the cover and is rotatably connected to the cover, a first exhaust opening is formed in the side wall of the section, which is positionedin the cover cap, of the cover, and a plurality of second exhaust openings are formed in the side wall of the cover cap. The waste gas treatment system has the advantages that it ensures that waste gas and treatment liquid are fully neutralized, and the waste gas treatment effect of the treatment liquid is improved.

TL;DR: In this paper, the adverse current closed type multistage seawater desalination system was proposed, which comprises a multistages heat exchanger containing heat exchange tubes in series step by step.
Abstract: The invention relates to an adverse current closed type multistage seawater desalination system and a method, the adverse current closed type multistage seawater desalination system comprises a multistage heat exchanger containing heat exchange tubes in series step by step. An inlet of a heat exchange tube of a first stage heat exchanger is connected with an inlet pipe through a sea water pump, aheat exchange tube of a last stage heat exchanger is connected with a seawater heating device; the seawater heating device is connected with several spray head arranged at the top in a spray tower through pipelines, a communicated multistage spray tower is formed by multistage filling materials in the spray tower, evaporation space of each stage filling material is respectively connected with thecorresponding top of heat exchanger though the other end of a vapor pipe, the bottom of each stage heat exchanger is respectively connected in parallel with a fresh water collecting pipe through a pipeline, a breather pipe is inserted at the bottom of each stage heat exchanger, the breather pipe at the bottom of the next stage heat exchanger is respectively communicated with the top of the cylindrical shell of the preceding stage heat exchanger, the breather pipe at the bottom of the first stage heat exchanger is connected with the lower part of the last stage spray tower through a steam return, the bottom of the last stage heat exchanger is connected with a discharge pipe of sprayed sea water. According to the invention, the water volume and the efficiency of producing water can be effectively enhanced.

TL;DR: In this article, a spray tower is characterized by having at least one nozzle producing spray cones are peripherally arranged on substantially horizontal spray arms differing in length from one another, in order to enable the energy used to be optimized and, in particular, hot spots to be avoided.
Abstract: A spray tower, more particularly for the spray drying/spray agglomeration of detergent ingredients or the like, the spray suspension being sprayed into the tower in the direction of gravity through spray nozzles arranged in different nozzle planes against the hot and swirling air flowing in countercurrent to the suspension, several nozzles being peripherally arranged in each nozzle plane, is intended to enable the energy used to be optimized and, in particular, hot spots to be avoided. The solution to this problem is characterized in that, in at least one nozzle plane, nozzles producing spray cones are peripherally arranged on substantially horizontal spray arms differing in length from one another.

TL;DR: Theoritical analysis of influence factors upon dimensions of the spray tower proper for wet flue gas desulphuriz ation has been carried out as mentioned in this paper, and concrete steps for determining dimensions of spray tower are given, and main factors needing to be considered in design being discussed.
Abstract: Theoritical analysis of influence factors upon dimensions of the spray tower proper for wet flue gas desulphuriz ation has been carried out. Combined with existing experience in project design, concrete steps for determining dimensions of the spray tower proper are given, and main factors needing to be considered in design being discussed.
