TL;DR: In this paper, a rotatable hub with a spray tower is used to distribute washing liquid toward all of the receiving racks of a dishwasher, and a sealed seal is provided between the hub and the spray tower for reducing liquid there between.
Abstract: A dishwasher having lower, center and upper article receiving racks and a spray mechanism for distributing washing liquid toward all of the racks. The spray mechanism comprises a rotatable hub, a first spray arm on the hub under the lower rack for directing washing liquid theretoward, a second spray arm below the center rack for directing washing liquid theretoward and a spray tower telescopingly received in the hub for extensible upward movement toward the upper rack for distributing washing liquid theretoward. A seal is provided between the hub and the spray tower for reducing liquid therebetween. The spray tower is balanced to prevent cocking thereof relative to the hub thereby preventing a seal failure between the spray tower and the hub.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed to reduce the SOx concentration of waste combustion gas to a low concentration that cannot be attained up to now by combining a 1st desurfurizing process using Ca compounds as an adsorbent in series and a 2nd desurfurstizing process with alkali metal (including ammonia) as an adaption agent.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To economically decrease SOx concentration of waste combustion gas to low concentration that cannot be attained up to now by combining a 1st desurfurizing process using Ca compounds as an adsorbent in series and a 2nd desurfurizing process using alkali metal (including ammonia) as an adsorbent CONSTITUTION:Waste combustion gas 1 is introduced into the 1st desurfurizing process 2 having a trap 6 for an adsorbent where fine bubbles of air are generated to remove the greater part of SOx in the waste gas by absorbing solution using Ca compounds as an absorbent Next, the waste gas 1 is introduced into the 2nd desurfurizing process 14 having a trap 18 where fine bubbles of air are generated and being a spray tower with a wet electric precipitating plate 17 to remove the residue of SOx in the waste gas by absorbing solution using alkaline compounds (including ammonia) as an absorbent The absorbing solution that has absorbed SOx drawn out from the 2nd desurfurizing process 14 is transferred to the 1st desurfurizing process 2 to make the absorbing solution of the 1st absorption process include the Ca compounds and the alkali metal compounds Consequently the waste gas is desulfurized to a SOx concentration of about <=1ppm

TL;DR: In this article, the axial dispersion coefficients under applied voltages showed lower values than that in the absence of applied voltage, and the extraction efficiencies were increased by about 50 percent.
Abstract: Axial mixing in the continuous phase and the mass transfer characteristics of a new spray column with four rod electrodes were examined in a range of applied voltages up to 23 kV using a system of water drops in cyclohexane. Iodine was used as a transfer solute for measuring the mass transfer rate and as a tracer for measuring liquid mixing in the continuous phase. The axial dispersion coefficients under applied voltages showed lower values than that in the absence of applied voltage. The extraction efficiencies were increased by about 50 percent for applied voltages of up to 23 kV. It is concluded that these significant enhancement of mass transfer were due to the increased frequency of coalescence and redispersion of the drops.

Abstract: The paper contains the results of experimental study of air–water and air–polymer aqueous solutions atomization process in modified spray tower. The experiments on hydrodynamic characteristics in the spray column with geometrically modified confusors for water and high-molecular polymer aqueous solutions as well as on mass transfer in aeration process, have been carried out. The major running cost derived from the operation of various mass exchangers is pressure drop. It has been shown that for geometrically modified confusors with profiled inside surfaces and double profiled inside surfaces the pressure drop is smaller than in the case of classical construction. Aeration process was studied for water flow in the co-current spray column with closed circulation liquid flow. It has been shown that independently from the applied geometry of modified confusor at given gas and liquid volume rates the aeration degrees were comparable. Taking into account the considerable decrease of flow resistance in comparison with classical construction it is reasonable to recommend the modified solution for realization the aeration process.

TL;DR: In this article, a spray tower is characterized by an oxidation tower, wherein a supporting plate provided with through holes is arranged in a tower body of the oxidation tower and a rare earth catalyst is placed on the supporting plate; the lower part of the tower body is communicated with an ozone generator; and the top part and the upper part of spray tower are provided with gas vents.
Abstract: The utility model discloses an industrial waste gas treatment device and belongs to the technical field of waste gas treatment. The industrial waste gas treatment device comprises a spray tower and is characterized by also comprising an oxidation tower, wherein a supporting plate provided with through holes is arranged in a tower body of the oxidation tower, and a rare earth catalyst is placed on the supporting plate; the lower part of the tower body is communicated with an ozone generator; and the top part and the upper part of the spray tower are provided with gas vents. The industrial waste gas treatment device can ensure that industrial waste gases can be subjected to neutralization reaction with a spray liquid in the spray tower at first to remove acid or alkali gases from the industrial waste gases, dust is removed by using liquid drop trapping at the same time, and then the waste gases enter the oxidation tower to perform oxidation reaction with ozone fully under the action of the rare earth catalyst, so that a dustless and tasteless gas is generated after treatment.
