TL;DR: The separating device for the vessels formed in a continuous run of film by a press for deep drawing packagings, has a knife extending across the full width of the sheet of film, so as to cut off a row of vessels; together with a feeder which progresses the sheared-off row through a transverse guide to a shear for cutting out the separate vessels as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The separating device for the vessels formed in a continuous run of film by a press for deep drawing packagings, has a knife extending across the full width of the sheet of film, so as to cut off a row of vessels; together with a feeder which progresses the sheared-off row through a transverse guide to a shear for cutting out the separate vessels. In the transverse guide a centralising tool lines up the strip for the shear, which works with a pinking tool for punching out a wedge-shaped section from each end of the cutting line, in the two edges of the strip. Expensive tools subject to heavy wear are dispensed with, no pinking cut or only a very slight one being necessary. The packages are cut out absolutely centrally and changeover to a different rim format is simple.

TL;DR: In this paper, the workpiece is fed by holding the bar and the carriage against pivotal movement and driving them in the respective longitudinal direction when the punch is lifted off the work piece.
Abstract: A stamping or nibbling machine, comprises a workpiece support or means for engaging the workpiece at a spaced location from a punch which reciprocates upwardly and downwardly in respect to a die in order to effect the stamping or nibbling of the workpiece. The support is mounted on a transverse bar which is pivotable about a transverse guide and the guide is carried on a carriage which is pivotable about a longitudinal guide. The workpiece is fed by holding the bar and the carriage against pivotal movement and driving them in the respective longitudinal direction when the punch is lifted off the workpiece. The rate of this feed may be controlled in timed relationship to the movement of the punch so that the feed takes place when the punch is off the workpiece and in a speed of feed which is determined in accordance with the torque acting on the transverse bar and the carriage when they are released for pivotal movement and sensed by associated torque meters. In addition, the feeding control is also carried out in dependence upon the weight of the workpiece as measured, for example, by a measuring bolt at the location of the die. The stamping stroke of the punch can be released through a time-delay device which is controllable by the measuring device for determining the weight of the plate. The torque meters effect a measurement of the center of gravity of the workpiece at any time during its positioning in respect to the punch and the die.

TL;DR: In this paper, an endless roller chain is employed to drive the individual bending and stamping tools via chain wheels, which can be mounted on the reverse side of the assembly plate, which was possible when a central driving wheel was used in conventional designs.
Abstract: In a driving unit for automatic stamping and bending machines, an endless roller chain is employed to drive the individual bending and stamping tools via chain wheels. The various tools are pref. located on one assembly plate and are independent of a pitch circle, i.e. the tools do not need to be located on a common pitch dia. Both sides of the chain are pref. employed to transmit the power so shock absorption during bending or staming is improved. If required, additional tools can be mounted on the reverse side of the assembly plate, which was possible when a central driving wheel was used in conventional designs. Used for high speed automatic prodn. of shaped springs, leaf-springs, clips, electric contacts, and other small parts. Gives improved flexibility w.r.t. the sequency of mfg. operations which can be undertaken, e.g. the tools do not have to be located round a circle with a common pitch dia.

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-track machine press is described with a base, a vertically movable ram mounted to the base, and a plurality of horizontally movable slides under the ram.
Abstract: A multi-track machine press is disclosed having a base, a vertically movable ram mounted to the base, and a plurality of horizontally movable slides under the ram. A plurality of master die sets each comprising a plurality of step-height dies arrayed parallel to the motion of the slide have a lower half mounted to the slide and an upper half mounted to the corresponding portion of the ram directly over the particular slide. The slides move horizontally in unison. The upper and lower portion of each master die set come together during a work stroke for a stamping operation when the slides are at a first zero velocity position, and are indexed one die lead for a transfer operation during a deposit stroke when the slides are at a second zero velocity position. The multi-track machine press is thus capable of performing a series of separate die stamping operations while minimizing the amount of scrap from the coil strip stock fed into the press for producing parts.
