TL;DR: In this paper, a metal foil is formed by stamping and/or deep drawing of at least one metal contact surface, which is then laminated with plastic film, holding the contact surface profile closely.
Abstract: A metal foil (1) is formed by stamping and/or deep drawing of at least one metal contact surface (3, 4). The metal foil is laminated with plastic film (2), holding the contact surface profile closely. In a similar alternative, the plastic film is first laminated to the metal foil before stamping. More films and foils may be included. An Independent claim is also included for the metal/plastic laminate and corresponding lead- or support frame made as described. Preferred features: The metal contact surface is re-stamped. Following lamination, the metal contact surface has a profile height (h) of 20-50 microns . There is at least one depression (7) in the foil, to make contact with components. There is a further depression (5) at the edge of the contact surface and/or at least one more (6) in the region where lamination will later take place.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the design and fabrication of hierarchical nanomicrostructured polymer surfaces with high hydrophobicity by stamping a ZnO nanowire film into PDMS.
Abstract: This article describes the design and fabrication of hierarchical nanomicrostructured polymer surfaces with high hydrophobicity. The nanoscale roughness is achieved by stamping a ZnO nanowire film into PDMS. Subsequently, microstructures with different periodicities are created in the stamped PDMS sample by direct laser writing using femtosecond pulses. With this approach, we were able to produce hierarchical surface morphologies, composed of nano and microscale structures that exhibit water contact angles larger than 160 degrees.

TL;DR: In this article, the metal side structures of the vehicle bodies described in the parent specification are modified so as to replace the inner stamping by a number of separate reinforcing and bracing members.
Abstract: 352,871. Road vehicle bodies. BUDD MANUFACTURING CO., E. G., 25th Street, Philadelphia, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Ledwinka, J. ; c/o Budd Manufacturing Co., 25th Street, Philadelphia, U.S.A.) Nov. 24, 1930, No. 35338. Convention date, Dec. 6, 1929. Addition to 283,197, [Class 108 (i), Road vehicles, Body details &c. of]. [Class 108 (i).] The metal side structures of the vehicle bodies described in the parent Specification are modified so as to replace the inner stamping by a number of separate reinforcing and bracing members. Fig. 2 shows the outer stamping S and Fig. 4 the outer stamping with the reinforcing members in position. The roof reinforcing member J comprises an angular member 24, 25, Fig. 10. The reinforcement A for the front door post comprises a channel member 28, 29, 30, Figs. 3 and 7, provided with off-sets for the hinge members. The B-C reinforcement for the middle door post is of plate form 39, Fig. 11, and is connected to the outer stamping S by crimping. The rear door post reinforcement comprises two members D, D provided with off -sets for the hinge members and adapted to be joined to the roof reinforcement J and wheelhousing reinforcement F. The reinforcement E, Fig. 17, for the quarter window is connected to the outer panel S by angular brackets 49 . The lower part of the stamping S is provided with strip-reinforcing members G, H, I.

TL;DR: In this paper, a device and a method for improving the limit of hydraulic deep drawing molding of metal flange parts is presented. But the method is limited by the deformed region at the outer side of the plate parts.
Abstract: The invention discloses a device and a method for improving the limit of hydraulic deep drawing molding of plank stuff, which relates to a hydraulic deep drawing molding device of metal plank stuff and a method thereof, and solves the problem that as the deep drawing plate parts such as the plate parts made of magaluma have large deep drawing rate and deformed plank flange parts, the bottom of the deep drawing plate parts is easy to fracture and has limitation to the molding limit due to overlarge pulling stress A stamping ring (1) is arranged at the upper part of a cavity die (3), a die space (1-1) of the stamping ring (1) has the same shaft and the same pore diameter with a die space (3-1) of the cavity die (3), one end of a male die (4) is arranged in the die space (1-1), one end of a dowel steel (5) is arranged between the stamping ring (1) and the cavity die (3), and the other end of the dowel steel (5) is fixedly connected with a spring (6) The device and the method for improving the limit of the hydraulic deep drawing molding of plank stuff realize the radial pressure exertion and controllability at a position of a deformed region at the outer side of the plate parts, are favorable for the deep drawing molding of the plate parts with complicated shapes, have simplicity, reliability, lower cost and easy implementation, and can remarkably improve the limit of the deep drawing molding of the plate parts

TL;DR: A rotor assembly for an electric motor includes a plurality of laminations disposed in a stack, a tension rod (31) extending axially through the rotor lamination stack, and end clamps (27, 29) disposed at each end of the rotor Laminations stack and secured to the tension rod for compressing the stack to hold the lamination of the stack fixedly in position by compression as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A rotor assembly for an electric motor includes a plurality of laminations disposed in a stack, a tension rod (31) extending axially through the rotor lamination stack, and end clamps (27, 29) disposed at each end of the rotor lamination stack and secured to the tension rod for compressing the stack to hold the laminations of the stack fixedly in position by compression A method of stamping rotor and stator laminations for a doubly salient electric motor from a single piece of metal includes the steps of stamping a rotor lamination out of the piece of metal, and stamping the stator lamination out of the piece of metal offset from the stamping of the rotor lamination so that a tooth of the rotor lamination stamping is taken from the gap between two teeth of the stator lamination stamping The centroids of the rotor and stator laminations in their stamped locations in the piece of metal are offset from one another
