Abstract: Oil of Sterculia foetida L. seeds applied in a dry diet fed to Musca autumnalis De Geer, acted as a low-order female chemosterilant which had effect only when consumed daily by the flies at relatively high concentrations. High concentrations of this oil in dry food also reduced both male and female longevity.
