Abstract: The proposed system serves as an Intelligent Personal Assistant for the department responsible for the maintenance of City Street light. It aims at developing a street lighting control prototype which ensures that the right amount of light is provided where and when needed and developing a web based application which can connect to the devices on the street lights remotely and help manage them. This application allows us to read data stored on the cloud as well as allows us to control the street lights manually, thus it lets us diagnose and fix remote device on the street light without ever sending a technician to the site. Here we have a modular approach design, which makes the system scalable and expandable. This system uses ZigBee wireless mesh network. This saves energy and cuts down energy costs up to 25–35%.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An LED lighting system and a method thereof are provided to easily achieve bit synchronization by using the wireless telecommunication of a Manchester coding scheme. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle detector(7) senses vehicles approaching a preset section on a road(5). A street lighting controller controls is the lighting and flash of a lamp installed at each street light. Street lighting controllers are installed at each street light. A controlling device(2) controls the lighting and flash of street lights while being wirelessly communicated with the street lighting controllers if receiving vehicle perception data from the vehicle detector.

Abstract: With the wave of smart city construction sweeping down, as one of the most extensive public infrastructure, streetlights should also be upgraded in the direction of intellectualization, greening and multifunction. Smart city street lighting with wide coverage and high density has tremendous potential value for the Internet of Things. Updating and upgrading the existing street light can easily establish a wide coverage of information perception network, thus establishing the basic network platform of Internet of Things to realize smart city. This paper intends to provide several ideas and schemes for the design of self-cleaning streetlights. Guided by the theory of green design and sustainable design, and based on modern technologies such as Internet of Things, this paper attempts to develop and excavate other advantages that city street lighting system may have.
