TL;DR: The objective of this project is to provide a reliable system for controlling a large number of street lights from a central location through FM broadcast with highest reliability and is aimed at introducing more systematic and rational thinking in a way which is both technically feasible and economical.
Abstract: Street lighting is an indispensable part of a city’s infrastructure, the main function of which is to illuminate the city’s streets during the dark hours of the day. It is important for the public and city governance to guarantee switching ON/OFF the street lights. The main consideration for computing this system is to achieve optimum utilization and reduce wastage of power. The objective of this project is to provide a reliable system for controlling a large number of street lights from a central location through FM broadcast with highest reliability. The system developed is aimed at introducing more systematic and rational thinking in a way which is both technically feasible and economical. The project involves two stages namely Communication technology and Power switching arrangement. This project includes transmission of coded DTMF signals to the FM transmitter through wireless technology by using echo coupler for controlling street lights. Any of existing FM stations can be used for transmitting the coded DTMF signal. Keyword DTMF, Echo coupler, FM, Micro controller, Relays.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the exploration of the city LED street light modelling design based on the study on the cultural elements of the Han dynasty and applied the extracted cultural elements, as well as the symbol and the structure characteristics of the lights of the Chinese Han dynasty to the cityLED street light modeling design and discussed the theory and the practical designs in way of studying the cases.
Abstract: This article unfolds the exploration of the city LED street light modelling design based on the study on the cultural elements of the Han dynasty. Applies the extracted cultural elements, as well as the symbol and the structure characteristics of the lights of the Han dynasty to the city LED street light modelling design and discusses the theory and the practical designs in way of studying the cases. The article also concludes the new methods to design the city LED street light modelling based on the culture.

TL;DR: IoT promises huge improvements in street lighting system in metropolitan cities where all the street lights are connected to the central server via internet which can be monitored remotely and thus making it an energy efficient system.
Abstract: The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new interconnection of technology. It is being heralded as the next industrial revolution. It’s also praised for its ability to reduce waste and energy, by allowing us to better control our use of resources based on our actual needs. Currently, energy consumed by the street lights in metropolitan cities is extremely high and hence are less efficient. One of the major problems with the existing street lighting system is that all the street lights are controlled manually and therefore require huge manpower. Even if a street light stops working there is no way by which the authorities can know about the failure. Another growing concern in cities is the pollution. The purpose of this paper is to propose a solution which can be adopted in every city where all the street lights are connected to the central server via internet which can be monitored remotely and thus making it an energy efficient system. These street lights are adaptive meaning that they can change the intensity of light depending on the vehicular movement. They also send information about the pollution level in that locality. Thus IoT promises huge improvements in street lighting system.

TL;DR: In this paper, a system consisting of a solar panel, a lift fan structure, a wind-driven generator, a charge and discharge controller, a storage battery, a street light control processor and an LED street light load is presented.
Abstract: To reduce energy waste and increase intelligence of street lights, the invention provides: a system comprising a solar panel, a lift fan structure, a wind-driven generator, a charge and discharge controller, a storage battery, a street light control processor and an LED street light load. The solar panel and the wind-driven generator are respectively connected to a charge and discharge controller; the controller is connected with the street light control processor and the LED street light load in turn; the charge and discharge controller is connected with a storage battery; and the storage battery is a lead-acid battery. The solar energy or wind power generates electricity; the electric energy is stored in the storage battery to supply power to the LED street light load and intelligently control the LED street light load through the street light control processor, saving energy and improving the automation level of the street light.
