TL;DR: In this article, a street lamp networking management method is applied to the street lamp system comprising a plurality of street lamps, where each street lamp comprises a main controller, a detection module, a communication module and a battery.
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of street lamp management technologies, and in particular to a street lamp networking management method and a street lamp system The street lamp networking management method is applied to the street lamp system comprising a plurality of street lamps The plurality of street lamps form a street lamp matrix Each street lamp comprises a main controller, a detection module, a communication module and a battery The street light matrix comprises a central street lamp and two routing street lamps The street lamp networking management method comprises the steps that: each routing street lamp acquires detection data obtained through detecting an ordinary street lamp corresponding to the routing street lamp and the battery corresponding to the detection moduleof the routing street lamp separately, and transmits the detection data to the central street lamp; the central street lamp acquires detection data obtained through detecting the battery correspondingto the detection module of the central street lamp, and the detection data transmitted by means of the two routing street lamps; and the central street lamp processes the detection data and then transmits the processed data to a cloud platform, so that the cloud platform manages the corresponding street lamps according to the detection data, thereby effectively improving the real-time performanceof the cloud platform on street lamp management

01 Mar 2018TL;DR: Taking into consideration the sensing requirement of an area, an optimal sensor deployment scheme is proposed and will be depicted in the project how the nodes which act like the street lamps will glow/increase its intensity when it senses movement in its sensing area using sensors.
Abstract: A new method is proposed here for the automation of street lights. The goal of this project is to implement an energy efficient dynamic street lighting system that detects movements in the sensing area of the lamps, providing lighting only when required and is at its minimum intensity when not in use. This system continuously adapts to the presence and behavior of pedestrian or vehicle on the road. It can light the street only when it is needed. Energy efficiency is obtained by comparing the amount of energy consumed without using this system and with this system. Dynamic Street Lighting System (DSLS) can be represented by using a simulator which combines wireless sensor networks (WSN) and nodes to enable a precise simulation. It will be depicted in the project how the nodes which act like the street lamps will glow/increase its intensity when it senses movement in its sensing area using sensors. When the object is out of its sensing area the node will go back to its lowest intensity. Thus, the nodes switch on only when required. This will save energy consumed by a street light. Taking into consideration the sensing requirement of an area, an optimal sensor deployment scheme is proposed.

TL;DR: This project describes a new economical solution of street light control systems by providing IP address to street lights (IOT) so that the base server can control the whole city's street lights using internet.
Abstract: These range from controlling a circuit of street lights and/or individual lights with specific ballasts and network operating protocols. These may include sending and receiving instructions via separate data networks, at high frequency over the top of the low voltage supply or wireless. Since the cost of electricity continues to rise and as wasting energy is a growing concern for public and authorities, it’s becoming crucial that municipalities, highway companies and other streetlight owners deploy control systems to dim the lights at the right light level at the right time, to automatically identify lamp and electrical failures and enable real time control. This project describes a new economical solution of street light control systems. We want to provide IP address to street lights (IOT) so that the base server can control the whole city’s street lights using internet. The main motive behind implementing this project is to save energy.
