TL;DR: In this paper, a tapered slot antenna with a band-notched function for ultrawideband (UWB) radios is proposed by inserting an Archimedean spiral-shaped slot into a microstrip open-circuit circular stub of microstrip-slotline transition.
Abstract: A novel tapered slot antenna (TSA) with a band-notched function for ultrawideband (UWB) radios is proposed in this letter By inserting an Archimedean spiral-shaped slot into a microstrip open-circuit circular stub of microstrip-slotline transition, a UWB operation with a notched frequency band can be obtained Measured data for the optimized case show the bandwidth for the VSWR <; 2 to be 88 GHz (from 24 to 112 GHz) with a notched band frequency from 46 to 62 GHz By inserting the resonance slot on the nonradiating part of the antenna, the proposed antenna is capable of avoiding the spatial-dependent bandstop characteristics Also, the designed antenna has a small size of 50 × 50 mm2, which is a size reduction of 40% with respect to previous similar antennas

TL;DR: In this article, a combined experimental and numerical study on the behavior of both circular and square concrete-filled steel tube (CFT) stub columns under local compression was presented. And analytical formulas were proposed to calculate the load bearing capacity of CFT stub columns.
Abstract: This paper presents a combined experimental and numerical study on the behavior of both circular and square concrete-filled steel tube (CFT) stub columns under local compression. Twelve circular and eight square CFT stub columns were tested to study their bearing capacity and the key influential parameters. A 3D finite element model was established for simulation and parametric study to investigate the structural behavior of the stub columns. The numerical results agreed well with the experimental results. In addition, analytical formulas were proposed to calculate the load bearing capacity of CFT stub columns under local compression.

TL;DR: In this paper, a compact microstrip dual band transversal bandpass filter (DBTBPF) using short-circuited stub loaded half-wavelength resonator and stepped impedance resonator is proposed.
Abstract: A compact microstrip dual band transversal bandpass filter (DBTBPF) using short-circuited stub loaded half-wavelength resonator and stepped impedance resonator is proposed. Multiple transmission zeros are created to improve the selectivity of the DBTBPF. Furthermore, the bandwidths of the proposed filter can be regulated in a relatively wide range. Two 2.4/5.2 GHz DBTBPFs with 192 MHz and 120 MHz absolute equal bandwidths, respectively, are designed. The measured results agree well with the simulations.

TL;DR: In this paper, the axial load bearing capacity of the multi-limbs built-up cold-formed steel stub columns is analyzed. But the failure modes of all specimens are local buckling and distortional buckling.
