TL;DR: A graphical method is proposed to determine KM and Vmax‴ as well as the substrate diffusivity in the enzymic medium, since the conventional plots of enzyme kinetics do not yield straight lines under such conditions.

TL;DR: The rate of production of the end product at the first stages of the reaction is markedly higher in the immobilized enzyme system than that predicted for a corresponding homogeneous system.

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of a substrate on the surface plasmon resonance absorption in silver nanoparticles depending on the distance between the nanoparticles and the substrate was studied. But the influence was negligible when the clusters were at a distance d>2R from the substrate.
Abstract: We study the influence of a substrate on the surface plasmon resonance absorption in silver nanoparticles depending on the distance between the nanoparticles and the substrate. The experimentally observed red shift of the resonant absorption is explained in the frame of the image-induced charges at the interface between the ambient medium and the substrate. The influence of a metallic substrate is negligible when the clusters are at a distance d>2R from the substrate. A dielectric substrate has much less influence on the optical response of silver clusters than a metallic one.

TL;DR: Veratryl alcohol (VA), a Phanerochaete chrysosporium secondary metabolite, protects the enzyme from inactivation via two mechanisms, helping to explain the role of VA in stabilizing the enzyme in the presence of excess H2O2.
