TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the class of conformal field theories at finite temperature and chemical potential that are holographically described within $D=5$ Einstein-Maxwell theory with a Chern-Simons term and constructed new electrically charged AdS black hole solutions that are dual to the low temperature, spatially modulated phase.
Abstract: We consider the class of $d=4$ conformal field theories at finite temperature and chemical potential that are holographically described within $D=5$ Einstein-Maxwell theory with a Chern-Simons term. The high temperature phase, which is spatially homogeneous and isotropic, is dual to the AdS-Reissner-N\"ordstrom black brane solution. For sufficiently large Chern-Simons coupling, we construct new electrically charged AdS black hole solutions that are dual to the low temperature, spatially modulated phase. In this phase the current, associated with the Abelian global symmetry, spontaneously acquires a helical order. The new black holes are stationary and also have Bianchi ${\mathrm{VII}}_{0}$ symmetry.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a general framework for discussing both isotropic-viscoplastic materials and amorphous materials based on the Kroner-Lee decomposition of the deformation gradient into elastic and inelastic parts, a system of microforces consistent with its own balance, and a mechanical version of the second law.

TL;DR: A method for constructing some of the unitary irreducible representations of the Wess-Zumino super-gauge symmetry is given in this paper, which is used in the analysis of S -matrix elements.

TL;DR: In this article, the convergence and superconvergence properties of the invariant amplitudes which occur in suitable combinations of the propagator functions of the vector and the axial-vector currents are discussed.
Abstract: We discuss the convergence and the superconvergence properties of the invariant amplitudes which occur in suitable combinations of the propagator functions of the vector and the axial-vector currents, based on the use of symmetry arguments for the asymptotic behavior. The sum rules so obtained for the spectral functions are in good agreement with experiment.

TL;DR: This work works out an explicit model for chiral transport enforced by a strong magnetic field, and finds that, in quantum systems far from equilibrium, the correlated exchange of particles makes it possible to exponentially reduce the thermodynamic cost of precision.
Abstract: For classical ballistic transport in a multiterminal geometry, we derive a universal trade-off relation between total dissipation and the precision, at which particles are extracted from individual reservoirs. Remarkably, this bound becomes significantly weaker in the presence of a magnetic field breaking time-reversal symmetry. By working out an explicit model for chiral transport enforced by a strong magnetic field, we show that our bounds are tight. Beyond the classical regime, we find that, in quantum systems far from equilibrium, the correlated exchange of particles makes it possible to exponentially reduce the thermodynamic cost of precision.
