Showing papers on "Tangent stiffness matrix published in 1981"

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, two vector iteration methods, dynamic relaxation and first order conjugate gradient, are used to trace the postbuckling behavior of spatial structures. But the convergence to the solution is achieved by using only vectorial quantities and no stiffness matrix is required in its overall assembled form.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, a nonlinear finite element analysis of elastic structures subject to non-conservative forces is presented, where the focus is on the stability behavior of such systems and the analysis of geometrically nonlinear elastic systems subject to such forces gives, in general, rise to a contributory nonsymmetric stiffness matrix known as the load correction matrix.
