05 Oct 2000TL;DR: In this paper, a method of manufacturing a semiconductor component includes forming a first capacitor electrode (126) over a substrate (110), forming a capacitor dielectric layer (226) over the first capacitance electrode, and forming a second capacitor electrode(326) over this layer.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor component includes forming a first capacitor electrode (126) over a substrate (110), forming a capacitor dielectric layer (226) over the first capacitor electrode, and forming a second capacitor electrode (326) over the capacitor dielectric layer. The capacitor dielectric layer is made of aluminum.

TL;DR: In this article, a non-porous tantalum pAD is attached to the polygonal body of a tantalm-sintered pellet and after anodization, a onowetting, high-temperature, and high-temperance resistance-coating is applied over the oXide film covering the pad.
Abstract: A SOLID ELECTROLYTE TANTALUM CAPACITOR IS PROVIDED WHEREIN THE WIRE CONNECTION TO THE TANTALUM SINTERED PELLET IS ELIMINATED. A NONPOROUS TANTALUM PAD IS PRESSED OR WELDED TO THE PELLET BODY AND, AFTER ANODIZATION, A ONOWETTING, HIGH-TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE COATING IS APPLIED OVER THE OXIDE FILM COVERING THE PAD. THE COATING ACTS TO MASK THE PAD FROM SUBSEQUENT SEMICONDUCTOR DEPOSITION. AN ANODE CONNECTION CAN THEN BE MADE EITHER BY EXPOSING THE SURFACE OF THE TANTALUM PAD OR BY WELDING THROUGH THE MASKING AND UNDERLYING OXIDE TO THE PAD SURFACE.

TL;DR: In this article, a filter capacitor network is proposed for signal coupling/DC blocking with an inductor connected in series with an aluminum electrolytic capacitor and bypassed with a capacitor having relatively better high frequency performance characteristics than the aluminium electrolytic capacitance.
Abstract: A filter capacitor network includes an inductor connected in series with an aluminum electrolytic capacitor with the inductor and aluminum electrolytic capacitor bypassed with a capacitor having relatively better high frequency performance characteristics than the aluminum electrolytic capacitor. The inductor decouples the aluminum capacitor from the network at middle and upper frequencies so that the bypass capacitor dominates the characteristics of the network in that range. A signal coupling/DC blocking capacitor network of the same configuration is also disclosed. An amplifier design includes the filter network in the power supply. The filter network is also disclosed in an audio signal path for use in signal coupling/DC blocking.

TL;DR: In this paper, anodic oxide films that have excellent wet electrical properties can be electrolytically formed on columbium foils and on properly processed sintered columbia pellets.
Abstract: Abstract : Anodic oxide films that have excellent wet electrical properties can be electrolytically formed on columbium foils and on properly processed sintered columbium pellets. During the fabrication of formed columbium anodes into solid electrolytic capacitors, the temperature used for deposition of the solid manganese dioxide electrolyte causes consid erable degradation of the electrical properties. Effects of this degradation can only be partially restored by reformation and aging processes. The temperature sensitivity of the oxide film is a significant determining factor for the properties of solid columbium electrolytic capacitors. Further investigations are indicated to develop (a) sintered columbium anodes of higher purity and optimum design, (b) optimum techniques for the formation of the anodes, and (c) optimum techniques for processing the formed anodes into solid electrolytic capacitors.
