TL;DR: In this article, a testbed for packet radio networks is constructed at the Stanford Research Institute, Palo Alto, California to provide experimental validation of theoretical models and simulation predictions, as well as simulation predictions.
Abstract: A packet radio network is a digital broadcast channel, fixed and mobile digital terminals which are sources and sinks of information, stations which provide centralized routing control and interconnections to other networks, and repeaters which provide area coverage for mobile terminals by performing a store-and-forward function on the radio broadcast channel. An experimental testbed for these concepts is now under construction at the Stanford Research Institute, Palo Alto, California to provide experimental validation of theoretical models and simulation predictions.
