TL;DR: In this article, a method for monitoring of oil well cluster production includes installation of flow meters at the pipelines from wells and registration of information signals from the flow meters, which can be used in controlling flow with variable flow rate, in particularly, in control of the current state of oil and gas fields via metering of production rate for every well in a cluster.
Abstract: This invention relates to the field of measuring technique, more specifically, to the area of measuring the parameters of liquid and gaseous fluid flows and can be used in control of flow with variable flow rate, in particularly, in control of the current state of oil and gas fields via metering of production rate for every well in a cluster. The method for monitoring of oil well cluster production includes installation of flow meters at the pipelines from wells and registration of information signals from the flow meters. The method employs installation of low-accuracy flow-meters with option of additional installation of plug-in density sensors, wherein the said plug-in density sensors are installed if the information signal from a low- accuracy flow meter exceeds a preset threshold.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the characteristics of an AC electromagnetic flowmeter in a liquid metal two-phase flow, and the relationship between the flow induced electromotive force (e.m.f) and void fraction α was verified by the measured e.mf.s and α for a bubbly flow regime.
Abstract: In order to investigate the characteristics of an electromagnetic flowmeter in a liquid metal two-phase flow, AC electromagnetic flowmeters were designed and manufactured. Two-phase flow experiments, encompassing bubbly to slug flow regimes, were realized with a water-air mixture and a liquid sodium-nitrogen mixture, respectively. The relation ∆UTP=∆USP/(1−α), between the flow induced electromotive force (e.m.f.) of a single-phase flow and that of a two-phase flow, was verified by the measured e.m.f.s and the void fraction α for a bubbly flow regime. Whereas there is no difference in the shape of the flow induced e.m.f. between single-phase and bubbly flow, the signal amplitude of the bubbly flow is greater than that of the single-phase flow under the same water or liquid sodium flow rate, since the real liquid velocity is higher than that of the single-phase flow. In the case of a slug flow, the phase and the amplitude of the flowmeter output changed drastically when a slug bubble passed through the flowmeter. Therefore, the electromagnetic flowmeter shows good potential as a useful device for identifying the flow regimes. The void fraction in a bubbly flow can be measured using two electromagnetic flowmeters.

TL;DR: In this article, a conductance sensor was used to measure the flow rate of the three-phase flow based on the research of the characteristics and the correlation theory, and a new technical solution which is suitable for measuring the oil-gas-water threephase flow was established.
Abstract: Oil-gas-water three-phase flow in the pipe is commonly encountered in the petroleum and nature gas industry. Its flow patterns are complex and always changeable, so it’s difficult to be measured and is becoming one of the most important subjects. Moreover, most of the oil fields in China are in such a high water fraction period that measures must be taken to meet the needs of the actual production. A conductance sensor which is widely used in the measurements of oil-water two-phase flow is used to measure the flow rate of the three-phase flow based on the research of the characteristics and the correlation theory, and a new technical solution which is suitable for measuring the oil-gas-water three-phase flow is established. A series of tests demonstrate that it’s feasible to use the conductance sensor in the measurements of oil- gas-water three-phase flow.
