TL;DR: In this paper, a theory of quantum gravity with interactions introduced by topological principle was proposed, and the fundamental property of such a theory is that its energy-momentum tensor is a BRST anticommutator.
Abstract: We propose the theory of quantum gravity with interactions introduced by topological principle. The fundamental property of such a theory is that its energy-momentum tensor is a BRST anticommutator. Physical states are elements of the BRST cohomology group. The model with only topological excitations, introduced recently by Witten, is discussed from the point of view of the induced gravity program. We find that the mass scale is induced dynamically by gravitational instantons. The low-energy effective theory has gravitons, which occur as the collective excitations of geometry, when the metric becomes dynamical. Applications of cobordism theory to quantum gravity are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the possible existence of a stable nontopological string configuration and its gravitational field is discussed in the weak-field limit, and a simple-model topological string case is considered.
Abstract: Gravitational fields of string configurations are discussed in the weak-field limit. After reviewing the simple-model topological string case, the electric-current-carrying string case is considered. The possible existence of a stable nontopological string configuration and its gravitational field is also discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a general prediction of string unification is the existence of exotic states with fractional charges under the free unbroken Abelian generators of the underlying GUT symmetry, which may serve as experimental probes of string theory in forthcoming cosmic ray and dark matter experiments.
Abstract: A general prediction of string unification is the existence of exotic states with fractional charges under the free unbroken Abelian generators of the underlying GUT symmetry. Such states may be long-lived due to the existence of weakly broken gauge, or local discrete, symmetries, and may serve as experimental probes of string theory in forthcoming cosmic ray and dark matter experiments.

TL;DR: In this article, Witten's theory is extended to non-oriented strings, and SO(n) or Sp n) Chan-Paton factors are added to the result.
Abstract: U(n) gauge group Chan-Paton factors are added to Witten's (1986) string field theory. Witten's theory is extended to non-oriented strings, and SO(n) or Sp(n) Chan-Paton factors are added to the result. The case of the open superstring is discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, a geometric action principle for N = 1 D = 3 super-Chern-Simons theory on supermanifolds using integral forms is presented. The construction relies on Picture Changing Operators, analogous to the one introduced in String Theory.
Abstract: We consider quantum field theories on supermanifolds using integral forms. The latter are used to define a geometric theory of integration and they are essential for a consistent action principle. The construction relies on Picture Changing Operators, analogous to the one introduced in String Theory. As an application, we construct a geometric action principle for N=1 D=3 super-Chern-Simons theory.
