TL;DR: In this article, a factor analysis on a set of 36 statements was undertaken to identify pertinent problems faced by teachers in the implementation of total quality management (TQM) initiatives and the intensity of problem felt by teachers by gender, age, subjects handled, location and ownership of the schools were also brought out.
Abstract: Whenever quality improvement measures in education are initiated by the government, teachers have the responsibility of their successful implementation at the school level. Problems and constraints, however, emerge if the vision and mission of the authorities are not permeated down to the teacher level. The Kerala government’s measures aimed at the quality improvement of education included changes in the curriculum, evaluation of students and teacher education and training, application of technology in the admission and examination systems management. There are, however, apprehensions among teachers on the viability and success of such quality initiatives and the potential increase in their workload. This study, therefore, attempts to identify the problems faced by teachers in the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives. Factor analysis on a set of 36 statements was undertaken to identify pertinent problems faced by teachers in the implementation of TQM. Variations in the intensity of problem felt by teachers by gender, age, subjects handled, location and ownership of the schools are also brought out.

Abstract: : This Project outlines Lean Six Sigma principles, provides examples of Lean Six Sigma events, and analyzes principles that can be applied to Navy acquisition and contracting. The objectives of this project are as follows: (1) provide an overview of Lean Six Sigma principles in contracting and acquisition; (2) identify Navy contracting processes that have and can be analyzed using Lean Six Sigma principles; (3) explore how Lean Six Sigma can be applied to interpret and implement regulations and instructions affecting the pre-award procurement process. The expected outcome of this project is an analysis of the applicability of using Lean Six Sigma processes to streamline the pre-award procurement process using Lean Six Sigma principles.

TL;DR: In this article, an exploratory framework for a Six Sigma business strategy, including input business strategy variables, and Six Sigma implementation and output quality performance variables, is presented. And a questionnaire is employed to evaluate the framework.
Abstract: This study constructs an exploratory framework for a Six Sigma business strategy, including input business strategy variables, and Six Sigma implementation and output quality performance variables. A questionnaire is employed to evaluate the framework. Study samples are from the Chinese Society for Quality in Taiwan. Three conclusions, based on SPSS 12.0 statistical analysis, for Taiwanese companies implementing a Six Sigma business strategy are as follows: 1. Business strategy is more positively associated with Six Sigma variables and quality performance. The firms that execute a more positive business strategy will see a greater influence and effect on Six Sigma variables. Integrating input business strategy variables with Six Sigma implementation will produce improved achievements in Six Sigma performance. 2. specific steering organization or committee is not a critical factor to implement Six Sigma system. Most firms in Taiwanese industry have a quality promotion committee for TQM, and they may implement the Six Sigma System based on the TQM promotion committee. 3. Integrating Six Sigma with DMAIC methodology is essential. DMAIC methodology means linking quality management training and education, and flexible execution of the Six Sigma project based on management by objective with business strategy. Integrating Six Sigma with business strategy will is more likely to achieve excellent business performance.
