TL;DR: In this article, a fire resistant coating composition consisting of an epoxy resin, a curable resin, an acid catalyst, a foaming agent, and fiber was proposed. But it is not suitable for use in fire-resistant applications.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fire resistant coating composition comprising: an epoxy resin; a curable resin; a retardant; a foaming agent; an acid catalyst; and fiber. In particular, by using aretardant containing 20 wt% or less of triphenyl phosphate and having a pyrolysis temperature of 250 DEG C or more, the present invention can reduce the harmfulness of gas, impart flexibility to a foam layer, and prevent the occurrence of cracks on a carbonization layer, thereby being capable of improving long-term fire resistance.
