TL;DR: In this article, a polyphenylene ether and a styrene resin flame-retardant is used to prevent molds from being stained by the evaporation of a flame retarder during molding.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a resin compsn. flame-retardant without causing lowering in heat-resisting temp. and to prevent molds from being stained by the evaporation of a flame retarder during molding, by blending a phosphorus flame retarder carried on a porous inorg. adsorbent in making a compsn. consisting of a polyphenylene ether resin and a styrene resin flame-retardant. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. is formed from 100pts.wt. compsn. consisting of a polyphenylene ether resin and a styrene resin and 10-40pts.wt. flame retarder obtd. by carrying a phosphorus flame retarder on a porous inorg. adsorbent. Examples of the porous inorg. adsorbent are silicon dioxide, hydrated silicic acid and hydrated calcium silicate. The amount of the flame retarder to be adsorbed on the adsorbent is 50-300pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. adsorbent. Examples of the phosphorus flame retarder are pref. arom. phosphoric esters such as triphenyl phosphate and bis(1,3-phenylenediphenyl) phosphate.

TL;DR: In this paper, a super-hydropphobic paint with flame retardant effect is described, which can be applied to the fields of fabrics, furniture, building materials and the like.
Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of paint, and concretely relates to a preparation method of superhydropphobic paint with a flame retardant effect. The paint is prepared by the following raw materials, by weight: 20-60 parts of deionized water, 30-50 parts of an organic solvent, 0.5-10 parts of a flame retardant, 2-10 parts of nanoorganosilane, 2-20 parts of a tackifier, 0.5-5 parts ofa coupling agent with an epoxy group or an unsaturated silane, and 0.01-0.3 part of a catalyst. The flame retardant is a mixture of melamine polyphosphate, triphenyl phosphate, mannitol and starch, or a mixture of ammonium polyphosphate, melamine, starch and ammonium borate, or a mixture of zinc borate, zinc phosphate and ammonium molybdate. The superhydropphobic paint with the flame retardant effect provided by the invention can be applied to the fields of fabrics, furniture, building materials and the like. The hydrophobic structure has the effect of moisture-proof, waterproof, dust-proof and antibacterial. Meanwhile, environmentally friendly flame retardant components are added, and so the coating has an excellent flame retardant effect.

TL;DR: In this paper, a polyethylene-based foam is kneaded with a chemical blowing agent, a cross-linking agent, triphenyl phosphate and calcium carbonate.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a flame-retardant cross-linked polyethylene-based foam not evolving a harmful gas on combustion. SOLUTION: A polyethylene-based resin is compounded and kneaded with a chemical blowing agent, a cross-linking agent, triphenyl phosphate and calcium carbonate. The obtained foamable composition is heated in a closed mold under pressure and the blowing agent is partially decomposed to give an intermediate foam, which is heated under a normal pressure and the remaining the blowing agent is decomposed to mold a foam.
