TL;DR: In this paper, atmospheric pressure CVD of WSe 2 and WS 2 monolayers at moderate temperatures (700-850°C) using alkali metal halides (MX where M = Na or K and X = Cl, Br or I) as the growth promoters.

TL;DR: In this paper, the molecular structures of the surface overlayerers of rhenium(VII) oxide, molybdenum(VI) oxide and titanium(IV) oxide on γ-alumina were determined by in situ Raman spectroscopy under dehydrated conditions.
Abstract: The molecular structures of the surface overlayerers of rhenium(VII) oxide, molybdenum(VI) oxide, tungsten(VI) oxide, chromium(VI) oxide, vanadium(V) oxide, niobium(V) oxide, and titanium(IV) oxide on γ-alumina were determined by in situ Raman spectroscopy under dehydrated conditions. It was found that the dehydrated surface metal oxide structures of all the systems under study, except for supported titanium oxide, are different from those under ambient condition where moisture is present on the surface

TL;DR: In this paper, a tungsten tracer layer was incorporated into the anodic film from the aluminium substrate, followed by detection of the tracer by transmission electron microscopy and Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy.

TL;DR: A nonaqueous approach that involves the reaction of tungsten isopropoxide with benzyl alcohol leads to tungstein oxide nanowire bundles without the use of any additional structure-directing templates, which show a high sensitivity to NO2.
Abstract: A nonaqueous approach that involves the reaction of tungsten isopropoxide with benzyl alcohol leads to tungsten oxide nanowire bundles without the use of any additional structure-directing templates. The bundles consist of crystalline nanowires with highly uniform diameters of about 1 nm and aspect ratios exceeding 500 (see picture). Gas-sensing tests show a high sensitivity to NO2.
