TL;DR: In this article, a navigation device includes a display, a recording medium, a navigation camera, a global positioning system (GPS), and a processor, which is operable to determine a current position for generating a navigation route to a destination.
Abstract: A navigation device includes a display, a recording medium, a navigation camera, a global positioning system (GPS), and a processor. The processor is operable to determine a current position for generating a navigation route to a destination. Based on a real-time traffic image received from the navigation camera, the processor adjusts a display scale and a display position of the navigation route, superimposes the navigation route on the real-time traffic image to generate a superimposed image, and outputs the superimposed image for viewing on the display and storage in the recording medium.

TL;DR: In this article, a navigation device is provided with a device for display of advertisements in a scene of a particular region or area, which can be either actual scenes for an area or region in which the navigation is located or simulated scenes.
Abstract: The navigation device is provided with a device for display of advertisements in a scene of a particular region or area. The navigation device has a processor (1,12), a memory (2,13), a positioning device (3,14), an optical display (5,16), an acoustic display (8,19), a receiver (6,17) and an input device (9,20). The scenes displayed by the navigation device are either actual scenes for an area or region in which the navigation is located or simulated scenes. The data for the display of the scene are either loaded from a data or information-bearing medium, such as a CD-ROM, or received by means of the receiver. Particular objects in the displayed scene may be connected with additional information which can be requested by the user by the input device. The number of objects, which particularly have advertisements, are established according to the speed of the vehicle containing the navigation device and the position of the navigation device. The navigation device can also be provided with a bus for convenient connection of the components.

TL;DR: In this paper, a system, apparatus, and method for navigation between sub-frames of a hypertext document and hyperlinks contained within the sub-frame are provided for mobile devices without pointing capability.
Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for navigation between sub-frames of a hypertext document and hyperlinks contained within the sub-frames are provided for mobile devices without pointing capability. A first mode of screen navigation renders the hypertext document into sub-frames, where each sub-frame is accessed using navigation commands. A second mode of screen navigation uses normal rendering mode, whereby a scrolling window is used to display the active portion of the hypertext document. Whether the first or the second mode of screen navigation is used, a hyperlink navigation mode may be initiated once the frame of interest is located. Similar navigational inputs are then used to navigate between the hyperlinks contained within the frame of interest.

TL;DR: In this article, a head-up display (HUD) navigation system, a headup display navigation device, and a method for implementing an HUD service are provided, which includes a server, a mobile terminal, and an HUD navigation device.
Abstract: A Head-Up Display (HUD) navigation system, a head-up display navigation device, and a method for implementing an HUD service are provided. The HUD navigation system includes a server, a mobile terminal, and an HUD navigation device. The server generates GPS route data using departure point data, destination data, and previously stored road information data. The mobile terminal requests the server to generate GPS route data and provides GPS route data transmitted from the server. The HUD navigation device compares the GPS route data provided from the mobile terminal with current GPS position data to generate navigation data and projects at least one of a horizontally mirrored image, a horizontally mirrored character, or a horizontally mirrored numeric value corresponding to at least part of the navigation data onto a windshield.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a unit to identify vehicle signs and provided navigation data to locate the vehicle using a satellite-based method, where the navigation data were updated with the vehicle sign identification data or vice versa.
Abstract: The method involves using a unit to identify vehicle signs. Navigation data to locate the vehicle are provided, preferably using a satellite-based method. The navigation data are updated with the vehicle sign identification data or vice versa. An Independent claim is included for a system for implementing the method and traffic sign identification and navigation systems for inclusion in the system.
