TL;DR: The morphological characters and the sequence of the tRNAleu-COII mitochondrial locus support the inclusion of the new species in the genus Uroleucon, which is described from apterous viviparous females collected on Adesmia boronioides in a locality of Neuquén province (Argentina).
Abstract: Uroleucon Mordvilko is the largest genus in the Macrosiphini (Hemiptera, Aphididae) and most of its species live on species of Asteraceae. Uroleucon nahuelhuapense Nieto Nafria von Dohlen sp. n. is described from apterous viviparous females collected on Adesmia boronioides (Fabaceae) in a locality of Neuquen province (Argentina). The morphological characters and the sequence of the tRNAleu-COII mitochondrial locus support the inclusion of the new species in the genus Uroleucon. Apterous viviparous females of Uroleucon adesmiae Mier Durante Ortego collected in two Argentinean localities have also been studied and ranges of several quantitative features have been modified. The identification key for the Uroleucon species known in South America by Nieto Nafria et al. (2007) has been modified to include the new species.

TL;DR: A field investigation was carried out on evaluation of root dip treatment and foliar spray of insecticides against aphid, Uroleucon compositae (Theobald) infesting ornamental crop Gaillardia, and thiamethoxam 25 WG 0.0125% and dimethioate 30 EC 0.03% were found effective and economical in reducing the population of aphid.
Abstract: A field investigation was carried out on evaluation of root dip treatment (Main plot) and foliar spray (Sub plot) of insecticides against aphid, Uroleucon compositae (Theobald) infesting ornamental crop Gaillardia (var. Lorenziana) were carried out in split plot design at Agronomy farm, B. A. College of agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat during 2014-17. Among the individual as well as the different combination of root dip treatments and foliar sprays, thiamethoxam 25 WG 0.0125% (5 g/ 10 litre of water)and foliar spray of dimethioate 30 EC 0.03% (10 ml/ 10 litre of water) were found effective and economical in reducing the population of aphid, U. compositae with higher flower yield in Gaillardia.

TL;DR: The aphid genus Uroleucon Mordvilko (Hemiptera: Aphididae) is recognized from the Korean Peninsula and two new species are described with biometric measurements, illustrations, and identification keys to species on host plants.
Abstract: The aphid genus Uroleucon Mordvilko (Hemiptera: Aphididae) is recognized from the Korean Peninsula. A total of twenty species of Korean Uroleucon are confirmed including two new species: U. (Uromelan) chrysanthemicola sp. nov., on Chrysanthemum sp. (Asteraceae) from Mt. Oseo, Korea and U. (Uroleucon) jejuni sp. nov., on Echinops setifer Iljin (Asteraceae) from Jeju Island, Korea. Two new species are described with biometric measurements, illustrations, and identification keys to species on host plants. LSID urn:lsid: zoobank.org :pub:ADBBDD99-6A12-4854-B559-64D5EF1B9CB0.
