Abstract: A number of samples with different compositions have been obtained in the Sm 1− x Tm x S system which was not studied earlier. For all of them lattice constants were determined and electrical, galvanomagnetic and thermoelectrical properties were studied. The Sm and Tm-valence was estimated by the X-ray L III -absorption spectroscopy method. The Sm has a valency of ∼2.6 for the concentration range x >0.2.

Abstract: A regular graph is semisymmetric if its automorphism group acts transitively on the edge set but not on the vertex set. In this article, we give a complete list of connected semisymmetric graphs of square‐free order and valency 5. The list consists of a single graph, the incidence graph of a generalized hexagon of order ( 4 , 4 ) $(4,4)$ , and an infinite family arising from some groups with cyclic Fitting subgroup.
