TL;DR: In this paper , a function analysis was carried out on high-value work items, namely structural work, frame work, door and window leaves, wall work, floor work and roof covering work.
Abstract: Construction projects require costs as a very important element in their implementation. There are several alternative methods that can be used as a rationale for conducting studies on cost savings. One of the alternatives that can be used for savings by eliminating unnecessary costs so that the value of the project can be reduced is Value Engineering (value engineering). One of the important stages in VE is the analysis of functions whose purpose is to identify the functions that are most beneficial for the study of VE. The method used in the analysis of this function is the Function Analysis System Technique (FAST) Diagram with the aim of defining the function of each work item analyzed and can review the basic functions that are used as guidelines in the selection of alternative designs for cost savings. In the Taman Sari Apartment construction project, a function analysis was carried out on high-value work items, namely structural work, frame work, door and window leaves, wall work, floor work and roof covering work. On the work of the structure identified the basic function of the work of the structure is to plan an alternative design with outputs in order to obtain cost efficiency. Then in the work of the frame, door leaves and windows have the basic function of planning an alternative design with output to be able to provide space access. Wall work with basic functions as a room divider to provide comfort and privacy as the resulting output. In floor work with the basic function of closing the floor base and the output is to beautify the room. For roof covering work has a basic function by calculating the roof load and output to obtain cost efficiency. After the implementation of the functioning analysis stage, cost savings are carried out by identifying and reducing unnecessary costs without reducing the quality and function level of the project it self.

TL;DR: It is proposed that robustness analysis be incorporated into the value engineering methodology to facilitate/enhance robustness into a design so as to attempt to ‘future-proof’ it in the face of alternative future scenarios.
Abstract: Current value engineering practice tends to emphasize value for money from a functional requirements point of view, seeking ‘optimal’ solutions to design problems that are assumed to be static and well-defined. Requirements however change with time. Supposedly optimal solutions are frequently outflanked by changing circumstances. Designs therefore ought to have an element of robustness, such that should circumstances change, they are versatile enough to adapt. This paper describes an ongoing PhD research which starts with the contention that a design with an element of ‘robustness’ enhances the value of a finished product. It is proposed that robustness analysis be incorporated into the value engineering methodology to facilitate/enhance robustness into a design so as to attempt to ‘future-proof’ it in the face of alternative future scenarios.

TL;DR: In this paper, value engineering is applied to the bridge construction project and the results of application of value engineering preliminary design at a price of IDR. 72,486,508,196.71 then some alternatives that are alternatives I obtained the price of 40,616,598,222.56 or savings gained by 43.97% in this alternate entirely using precast concrete pile foundation alternative II IDR 41,699,143,562.9 savings gained 42.47% in the alternative uses all pile foundations and alternate drill III IIDR.
Abstract: This study aims to apply value engineering and analyze methods of construction on the bridge construction project conventional concrete construction. Evaluation is the execution of civil works on the building that is under construction bridge on the foundation structure. In the analysis of value engineering, there are several stages of implementing value engineering are the information phase followed by identifying the cost ranging from the highest costs to the lowest cost and use law Pareto chart table and then proceed to the creative stage by using the method of cost / worth and the last stage is the stage recommendation. From the results of application of value engineering preliminary design at a price of IDR. 72,486,508,196.71 then some alternatives that are alternatives I obtained the price of IDR. 40,616,598,222.56 or savings gained by 43.97% in this alternate entirely using precast concrete pile foundation alternative II IDR. 41,699,143,562.9 savings gained 42.47% in this alternative uses all pile foundations and alternate drill III IDR. 41,243,208,716.9. Savings gained by 43.10% in this alternative partly using precast concrete pile foundation and the pillar 5 and 6 using the bore pile coated steel casing. Elections under the bridge structure with value engineering is suggested should be done at the beginning of the project to optimize cost savings projects that better suit the purpose of value engineering itself.

TL;DR: In this paper, a minimum maximization model is proposed for determining quality investment and cost-share in the manufacturer-supplier cooperative development for complex products. And the algorithm of resolving the model is devised.
Abstract: To consider the efficiency in determining quality investment and cost-share in the manufacturer-supplier cooperative development for complex products, a minimum maximization model is build. To achieve this aim, expressions of quality level, quality-gain and cost are all proposed first. Then cost-sharing by Shapley value method is given. Next, the cooperative efficiency is defined, and the minimum maximization model with maximizing the minimum of each partner's cooperative efficiency is established. Moreover, the algorithm of resolving the model is devised. The results of the model are the optimum resolution for quality investment and cost-share in the cooperative development.
